Rohim strikes the cadenta who has stolen the gem.

The rest of you may all act. There is a badly wounded one, and a slightly wounded one with the numenera piece.

Raezhon charges another shot on her weird bow, and lets fly at the thief.

Raezhon's shot misses by a hair.

You've engaged with these enough to now know that these are difficulty 3 foes. That rating means they normally have 9 health, difficulty 3 tasks to attack and defend against, and do 3 damage if you fail your defense roll. These are slightly quicker on their attacks so difficulty 4 to defend against.

Aduan attacks the thief with his rapier if he's close enough.

Aduan strikes and does solid damage. Both cadenta are quite wounded now, a single strike on each should take them out.

Nim's attack misses the angry bird.

Kaseeh is up.

Kaseeh bangs his broadsword on his shield to generate noise and hopefully attract the cadenta's attention towards him as he preps to swing again at the first one that swoops into melee range.

There's two attacking Rohim. Did you want to attack one of them?

Kaseeh leaps to Rohim's aid and slashes at the gem thief cadenta, killing it.

The other one continues to hary Rohim

Rohim needs to make a difficulty 4 Defense check or take 3 damage.

Everyone can act again. There is one badly wounded cadenta pecking at Rohim. No others have swept down to join the fray.

Raezhon takes aim at the harrier and lets fly.

Seeing the thief fall to the ground with the piece, Rohim turn toward the one pecking at him and swing a kick a it.

The frenzied creature draw blood again on Rohim until he finally turned his attention to it. A quick step back allowed him room to wound up a powerful kick that connected with the creature beak with a sickening crunch. A buzzing sound could be as electricity filled the the air and the giant bird fell to the ground, its dead body twitching uncontrollably for a long time.

Aduan stows his rapier and scans the sky to see what the other birds are doing.

The birds are wary but clearly it was only the two that were nesting there, plus the thief.

You now have recovered a second piece of the altar.

Kaseeh looks around to get an idea of everyone's status. "Everyone up still? No major injuries I hope, those birds were some tough customers"

With that, he reaches to retrieve the altar piece from the nest.
