@Qralloq Maybe Belarigen had an incident that where he didn't want to get seen. Vargas stepped in since he thought a fight was going to break out. He even remembered to pull up his britches since he was relieving himself in an alley close by.
That's perfect. We now have an angry sort of unwilling trust that is growing into a reluctant friendship.

Would you gauge it at Minor then or Major?

I think that the way we described it, it would be Minor. For it to become Major, we'd have to invest some emotions or something, heh.

Sounds to me like you're a bunch of ruffians hiding out in Miletus.

Hmm I guess I'll go this route. Let me know if any of these sound good.

@Nattkinson Davik started a bar fight when someone else bumped him and almost got caught doing something sneaking (stealing) Vargas had a wench showed in his face and he got to get into a bar room riot... Davik is officially named his 'Wingman'
I'm ok with being your wingman, so long as you'll protect me from bad situations I can't talk myself out of :)

Also, if you can submit custom character sheets as well that'd help me more easily keep track of who we are waiting on and who I need to make an edge mechanic for still :)

You probably will realizing I'm hoping for a fight either way. Major or Minor?

Depends on how long this has been going on, probably. If it's a new arrangement then it'll be a minor, if we've been doing this a long time then probably we've become quite close and it'll be major. Got a preference?

I'm fine either way.

@Jabes and @Leviathan files, still waiting on character ideas from you two.

For the rest, I'm going to start up a game thread today so you can get into the game.

Major Bond: Dasclaw Zhen - Mabye Dasclaw misrepresented his history, or perhaps there is something in Belarigen's own mythology, but for some unspoken reason, Belarigen is compelled to defend Dasclaw whenever he can. From the few words spoken in explanation, Dasclaw isn't sure if Belarigen is protective of Zhen himself, or of his kind in general.

I'm not a huge comics fan but there are some I've read that have been unforgettable. One of them was Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" which I read back in the 90's. Among the many things that stuck with me was the one-armed Green Arrow (it's fun that they decided to reference this recently in the TV series, but I digress).

I started looking into some of the amazing stories of real-life archers with either one arm or no arms. I thought it would be a fun challenge to play someone like that in an RPG. I created Jarveena, the Maimed Archer for a D&D 5E game on this site but 1) the game died, and 2) that might not have been the best game system for the PC concept. I'm thinking maybe this system might be a good fit.

Belief
Death is a gift. The gift can be bitter or sweet. And the choice is rarely ours to make.

Edge
Jarveena can draw her bow with her teeth, or one hand and a foot, with both her feet, shoot behind her back, shoot prone, shoot supine, upside down, crammed in a tight space, you get the idea. She's an arrow-slinging machine.

Weakness
Jarveena has a fear of fire. Fire was the instrument of her maiming.

Traits
-Deadeye archer 4
-Ninja 2
-Poisoner 1

Because of her missing limb, many physical challenges are extra difficult for her. Would it be overkill to have her also be blind? Think a mash-up of Daredevil and Elektra.

She has built up enough of a reputation as a killer to be wanted by the law. Fortunately, no one knows her physical description (yet) - no one would suspect a blind, one-armed waif of being a deadly assassin.

0. What is your character's name? Jarveena
1. What is your character's primary motivation? MDK (Murder, Death, Kill) Jarveena is an assassin for hire.
2. How would others describe your character's appearance?
3. What personality traits or mannerisms would someone who just met your character immediately notice?
4. Is your character religious? If so, describe the deity they worship. Jarveena worships Uctunis, the goddess of death, lust, and chaos. She also makes offerings to Yxenta, the goddess of outcasts who fight back.
5. Your character has been ambushed by a trio of brigands. They draw their weapons and move to attack. How does your character respond? Jarveena backflips / deftly parrying the first brigand's dirk with her foot / and drawing three arrows from the quiver at her hip. / Grasping her bow with her right hand / she nocks and draws with her teeth / and sends an arrow flying at each brigand's throat / before she lands in a crouch / with another three arrows drawn.
6. Your character has offended a nobleman, who is now threatening to summon the town guards. How does your character respond? The nobleman dies, swiftly and silently, where he stands.
7. How will your character die? A blade in the back, in the hands of someone she trusts.

Looks good.

As her weakness is fire, the missing limb and blindness wouldn't mechanically make things difficult, but you can frame things and use description to bring that aspect out.

I'll need to think about the mechanical effect for the edge.

Let's go ahead and make this a major bond. They've known each other for quite some time and have forged a strong friendship.

How about this:

Arrow-slinging Machine
When your Description includes the use of a bow, your Pool Limit is increased by 1.

And, for those of you with characters rolled up, have at it

Sounds good! Ok, putting it on the character sheet.
