Episode 1 Scene 1 : The Arrival

As Carric begins to sift through the debris and unmask what is hidden he finds that there are eight octagonal black stones fairly evenly spaced from one another perhaps about six feet apart and maybe about twenty feet from a stone that is directly opposite. The top of each octagonal stone is flat and perhaps a foot across or a little less with a one inch deep octagonal depression in the center that is maybe three inches across. The stones then widen as they go down but without a shovel or some magic getting to the bottom of one would take a long time. However the stones do seem either fixed or just to heavy to be moved. Also the sides of these stones are covered in some kind of sigils that Carric is unfamiliar with. Still it is obvious these are not natural due to the flatness of the surfaces and the sharpness of the corners but who made them and why?

Ashton and Carric eventually meet up within the Garrison for the evening meal.
