Almthu ponders, "Hmmmm, that is strange. I've never heard of these things. Sounds strange. We could ask Ole Kezzel ... though he can be a bit excitable. He's usually around the garrison somewhere... smokes his pipe each morning on the steps. The wizards at Book Inn may know something, but it's hard to know who you'll find there.

Well now you've got my curiosity. What do y'all say to going over there and having an quick look then in the morning catch this Kezzel in his usual spot and ask him about them?

I'm anxious to see these stones. We could at least copy the markings if anybody has something to mark on, maybe somebody would recognize the symbols if not the rocks. But maybe we don't want to delay looking for missing man in the woods.

Well as it is we are set to head out in the morning so we have tonight to go take a look. Do you know if they keep any parchment and maybe some charcoal or a dark colored chalk around here?

Kezzel would have some -- the crazy fool lives in the garrison dungeon, if you can believe... but he doesn't take kindly to intrusions. Could maybe find some with the wizards order at the Book Inn. Failing that, a shop or two around here will have some I think.

Alright well lets head to the Book Inn and see if they have anything that could help us.
Ashton hops off his stool, waits for the others and then heads out the door torward the Book Inn.

It is currently dusk and the open markets are closed for the night unless you have a special connection with one of the merchants which none of you do. The Inns are all still open at least for a few more hours.

We have actually already visited the Book Inn earlier today but weren't granted entry. A gentleman by the name of Kumo just came out to talk with us. Gave Carric a list of plants to try and find.

Hmm. As the Book Inn seems to be a place we should like to go both for parchment and information, perhaps we should visit after we've completed our assignment. We may be able to find the plants for Kumo while we're at it.

Fair enough good thinking, I always knew you could do it! Ashton throws a wink in Almthu's direction Well in that case I am going to find a few water/wine skins and turn in for the night.

Shoot me an Investigation roll for Ashton and we will see how well they do in scrounging up a few waterskins?? Also you can probably assume Almthu aids you with this roll.

Almthu helps Ashton search for waterskins. The Yroc is oblivious to the fact that he is carrying four on his person right now. He doesn't really know the meaning of packing light.

Almthu helps Ashton hook up with the garrison quartermaster and after a few questions the garrison will provide waterskins (filled with clean water) for 2 Dirks each. The quartermaster denotes that the garrison is willing to buy them back later if they are returned in a functional condition.

After the issue with waterskins is resolved the group bunks down in their assigned beds within the garrison sleeping quarters. The beds were not the best but better than sleeping on the common floor of an inn and the best part was they were free. Each bed comes equipped with a chest to store your gear in and the quartermaster informs them, after handing them a key, that they can leave things in the chest when they go on missions but to let them know so they can safely stow the chest away until their return.
