Random stat rolls

Roll four d6 dice (advanced, then add 6 basic dice, in the dice add 4d6 in each dice roll with the reason being stat roll, the lowest number from each of the four dice will be taken away giving you the stat number, meaning if you get 6,6,6,6 a 6 will be taken away giving you 18 where you can place it anywhere, if you're adventurous you can roll it in order and stick with those stats

Okay, so forget my idea of rolling a cleric. I'll think about what I'm going to be and update this post.

EDIT: I believe I will enter the tournament as a Goliath Barbarian.

I was going to do a point buy, but if someone else is gutsy and rolling... I'm not gutsy enough to roll in order though (because I already have a character idea I want to play, so I shouldn't risk shooting myself in the foot!)

Depending on what feat I decide I want, and if I decide I want a +3 Int, or +4 (since it does get used for some Mystic tools, but Str will be my primary attribute as a melee weapon attacker and my magic will be for self-buffs.. so mostly, it's a question of secondary attack stat importance vs primary)

Gonna roll here for a character I'm going to bring along for the ride, don't expect him to last long but I too wanna jump in on this, when more people have rolled or stated up I'm gonna reveal him in the homebrew race discussion thread just so people have there two cents on it

14, 12, 17, 16, 13 and 13 is not that bad of a roll

Not quite I don't think. For each stat you roll 4d6 then drop the lowest value, then add up the other 3 to get a number between 1 and 18 (max roll is 6,6,6). Doing that with your rolls gives you the following array:

4d6 ( 3, 2, 3, 5 ) = 11
4d6 ( 3, 4, 6, 4 ) = 14
4d6 ( 6, 2, 5, 3 ) = 14
4d6 ( 6, 2, 3, 4 ) = 13

Oh, okay, thanks for catching that. So that would take me to:

STR 13
DEX 16
CON 13
INT 11
WIS 15
CHA 13

Not quite as amazing as I first thought, but still pretty good, and I might be able to bump something up with the feat.

Hm… Now if Alert, Mobile, or Magic Initiate gave an ASI, this would be a much easier choice. As it is, I may just pick one of those and wait until level 4 to even my scores out.

Rolling in order. I'm old-fashioned, so the "new" reordering of the stats has never made sense to me. So the order I'm rolling them is the classic STR INT WIS DEX CON CHR.

So that works out to be:
STR 11
INT 13
WIS 12
DEX 13
CON 12
CHR 17

I'll go with high elf, which then changes it to:
STR 11
INT 14
WIS 12
DEX 15
CON 12
