Yeah, I pretty much planned for everything. Horse, saddle, traveling gear (mess kit, rations, bed roll, canteen, etc) as well as some basic clothes. Though if Burke wants to change his pants, he's going to have to find work. I ended up with 25 cents after all was said and done.
Ah but that was 25 cents in resources ;) not coin --- however as I look characters over (as to what they bought) I may bump the starting money up some --- or simply use it as to why you agreed to take the first job
I'll change it to currency, maybe it'll buy me a cheap breakfast 😋. I think $300 was plenty. Any more and we won't have stuff to work towards/save up for
well if you take a British coin you can get away with it ;) as you would get 1 bob (shilling) and 2 tripence (threepence) otherwise you get 1 bit (dime) and 2 plugs (pennies) and lose 0.5 cents -- so your choice
note when using US coinage somethings cost only 1 bit (10 cents) and if you drop down a 2-bit (25 cents) you will get 1 bit as change this is referred to as a short-bit however if you are on the receiving end of that exchange getting a 2-bit in exchange for for that 1 bit then its called a long-bit because your not going to get 1 bit and 5 plugs which is what it should have been ;) its how it works
Its no hurry. Burke finished with character creation, and ready to preach the word (most often through actions rather than words), drink, gamble, and get into a mess o' trouble with the forces of darkness
