This thread is for discussing Kalani's character other players should only post to this in regards to Kalanin's character and story collaboration is included within that.

When outlining your character please post the following:

Step 1: Background (okay basically your story)

Step 2: Choose (or outline) the following :
.....Starting Duty : 5 (from Age of Rebellion)
.....Starting Obligation : 25 (from Edge of the Empire)
.....Starting Morality : 50 (from Force and Destiny)
..........Now the above 3 things have aspects that need to be rolled (and/or chosen but prefer if you rolled at least until you got something that fit the concept unless you really feel strongly about one of them) for each and these need to outlined in your Step 2 -- a Note here for Obligation you can assign the 25 to one Obligation or split it among more than one depending on what you feel your character should have

Background
Once a 2-1b Surgical droid in service to the republic. He grew weary of the personnel he served after the rise of the empire, not having had a memory wipe since the war he looked for any opportunity to escape imperial service before an imperial officer with a bad temper scrapped him for parts. The day came when a ragtag group of rebels raided one of the imperial academies on Carida where D3 was stationed on and he took the chance to willingly escape with them. Since then he has been part of the rebellion providing medical care for injured alliance members and on occassion gets sent to fight on the fronts.

Duty: Support fits a medical droid really well.

Obligation: Dutybound. His programming requires him to heal living beings that need it and if need be take action against those who impede his programming.

Obligation: Responsibility. D3 feels responsible for the health of his patients and strives to take care of them even to a fault.

I don't have a clear understanding of the morality section i need help with that

Okay -- for your Obligations please assign points to each one -- you have 25 so one could be 15 and the other could 10 --- or 20 and 5 etc...

Dutybound will be 20 and Responsibility will be 5. i don't understand how the dice stuff work for choosing morality could you clarify that please?

As for the dice rolling associated with Morality you need not concern yourself with as that is my arena -- I make all those rolls and adjust Episodes accordingly -- all you need to do is choose your characters Strength(s)/Weakness(es) keep in mind that for all of them you can have more than one -- you can have multiple Duties, multiple Obligations, and multiple Moralities --- its all mainly about what you need to best define your character -- I would suggest no more than 2 Duties and 2 Moralities though and at most 3 Obligations if you need more than one.

I think i will do Discipline and Compassion for morality. 25/25 for each

As a droid PC i start with 175XP do i get any extra from obligations or how does that work?

Okay sorry about that previous question on page 50 of the Force and Destiny book is a table where you can random roll for you Morality and that also goes for Obligation and Duty -- these things can be randomly rolled -- or chosen.

That said Morality is not split -- but you can have more than 1 set of Strengths/Weakness so it would look like this:

Morality : 50
..... Discipline / Obstinance
..... Compassion / Hatred

So these are the things you struggle with when certain situations come up

Discipline: Rigorous mental and physical discipline comes naturally to the character. They do not make choices rashly, and every action is precise and selected. Those who think they can goad the character into making foolish choices are sorely mistaken.

Obstinance: Disciplined characters may fall into the trap of simple stubbornness if they are not careful. An obstinate character often refuses to consider any course of action other than the one they choose, unwilling to accept that someone else may have conceived of a better option.

Compassion: The character cares about the tribulations others face, and wants to help those he comes across. His compassion may lead to self-sacrifice in order to aid those who need it.

Hatred: The galaxy can be a cruel and heartless place, and compassion can quickly turn to hatred of the individuals or situations that cause others to suffer. When a character’s mind roils with simmering hatred, that hatred may be all too slow to fade.

So you as a player should keep these in mind -- you are Discipline sometimes to the point of Obstinance and you are Compassionate and sometimes find yourself hating those that cause the suffering of others and I would take that maybe and bit further due to your background and say especially if its the suffering of a fellow droid.

Okay first no you do not get anything from the Obligation/Duty/Morality elements as I have consolidated them into a single section so under the Creation Parameters you have these 2 optoins

Next Starting Characters can choose one of the following options:

So with they above you could have chosen to get +5 or +10 Starting XP -- this is different than Post Creation XP

Then you get the following Post Creation XP -- pay attention to the rules of what you can do pre-creation versus post-creation and perhaps how the XP is used both pre and post

Motivation: Connection to the empire. Once being in service to it and in fear of being decomissioned D3 joined the rebel alliance out of necessity

Do i have any restriction on gear? rarity and the such?

D3s chassis and head (not circuitry) has been replaced with an LE-Series maintenance droid. Painted with a coat of blue and white stripes at the sides. one of his shoulder pads still has an imperial insignia so if officers/stormtroopers suspect him of being an asset of the alliance he can just show them the marking and his serial number (which is not active in service of the empire anymore so when they realize that there will be trouble) People often mistake him for a maintenance droid when he's just a surgical one.
