Reporting back to Bhjurba is definitely an option, but finding the cave would be fruitless. Whatever it is Caulder found, he brought back to the town. From his last scrawlings it looked like he wanted to go somewhere secure, dark, underground, and with plent of test subjects.

Yrsa nods, and continues the search through the building. "Not for nothing," she says as an aside, "but I don't think the slaves will want the services of this particular doctor."

You find a lot of small tools scattered on the ground, a pile of ruin papers, and a a potions that was surprisingly intact. It smells of strong rum, hell just be rum if it wasn't so orange.

You also discern that the first room you entered, the one that smelled like chemicals, was where they did all their alchemy. Not much left in the room to scavenge, at least from what your good eye can see.

OOC:
Anything else you want to do here? What's your next move?

"You think we should check the dungeons?" says Yrsa. "Bhjurba might not always know who's in there, and maybe this Caulder relocated."
Nov 21, 2016 4:32 pm
Magnus shrugs, "Sounds like a fair next step to me."
Nov 21, 2016 4:45 pm
"All right, let's ask the guards for the keys," says Yrsa with a wink. "And if they're silly enough to comply, we'll have an easier time of it."

OOC:
You want to head to the guard barracks, or just the ones guarding the dungeon?
Nov 21, 2016 10:59 pm
Yrsa consider heading to the barracks. Perhaps simple questions asking where Caulder might be, or what the guards know of Caulder, will provide more clues.

OOC:
Go ahead and roll investigate to ask around the barracks about Caulder
Nov 21, 2016 11:22 pm
Yrsa's not the greatest when it comes to asking questions, as she prefers a more-direct approach. Unfortunately, what works for pirates will not work in this situation, but she tries her best to work against her bad reputation and inquire without making demands.

Leilara searches high and low for a guard with some information about their quarry. Searching for people is nothing like searching for artifacts, but it can't be THAT different, right?

Feeling more comfortable in a barracks than meeting with Bhjurba, Magnus makes his way around, trying to find someone he can get the key from.

After regrouping from your separate investigations, you learn a little bit about Caulder:

A prostitute remembers that Caulder never hired her or the other girls because he was loyal to his wife. However, she had never seen his wife in the 7 years she had lived in Bhjurba's Den.

One of the guards on the wall said he routinely saw Caulder traveling between the hospital and the tower.

And a tried looking guard told you to screw off.
Nov 27, 2016 3:09 pm
"So we patrol between the hospital and the wall then? Until we find this 'virtuous' magic-addled weirdo?"
Nov 27, 2016 4:14 pm
"Let's search the dungeon," Yrsa suggests.
Nov 28, 2016 3:31 pm
"Might as well I suppose. After all, we could just end up there anyways."
Nov 28, 2016 4:36 pm
Magnus merely nods his assent, rolling his shoulders to stop his muscles from getting stiff.
Nov 28, 2016 4:40 pm
Yrsa looks for directions to the dungeon, taking careful note on any special procedures or who holds the keys.
Nov 28, 2016 10:05 pm
After getting some info, the party heads for the tower dungeon. Yrsa learned that it was easy enough to find in the tower, but the keeper who had the keys was a bit of weirdo. There are two guards posted outside the door that leads to another set of stairs, and they stop you from entering.

"Halt, what business do you outsiders have down here?"
