Should we all start rolling up second characters just to be safe? Haha

Nope...everyone getting their butts kicked is actually storyline...everyone lives to see chapter 1.

Well, not the NPCs...but you guys will be fine. :)

I don't think we will need to do all that. We will go find him, and put some healing to him. We got this, don't lose faith yet.

Him? I'm not worried about him, I'm worried about me! I'm all shot up with bolts! Owwww

Your not dead yet and there are 3 healers in the room. Calm down. lol

MAN DOWN! MAN DOWN!

Holy crap, Jabes. That was phenomenal. I can't WAIT to see what happens in the actual First Chapter...just...damn.
I'm glad you liked it. I had a blast! Toshi is now down to 8 cat lives. :-)

When I wrote this campaign, there were players at my table who, if the situation didn't suit their characters some how, they wouldn't participate in the campaign. I either had to railroad them in (which I HATE doing...) or come up with a completely separate campaign, just for them...which was difficult and very trying as far as my patience goes.

I wrote this prologue, specifically, to give them and other RP heavy "What's my motivation?" PCs a good, solid reason to fight and complete the game: revenge.

Whether it was justice for those innocents who were wrongly slain, or vengeance for getting their butts handed to them by a glorified lizard...every character had a reason to complete this campaign by the end of the prologue.

Did anyone ever kill all the bad guys in the prologue?
Apr 11, 2016 8:07 pm
So this dice roller has decided that your paladin is a twit. my attack rolls have been a 2, a 6, and two 9's. guess its time to stand around and take damage. bunch of BS.

Not all of them, no. The second table I ran it for managed to kill about half of them, including 3 ring leaders, before I had to change things up. Really messed things up, because I wasn't expecting them to outmaneuver me like that...they wound up leveling up faster than I had planned for.

If I'd stop rolling so terribly we might have a chance!
Apr 11, 2016 8:55 pm
you and me both man, you and me both.

Seriously, we all do a ton of damage. If only we could hit some things...

I REALLY hope that the rolls improve after the prologue

I really hope the rolls improve now. Jesus h christ, wtf is with this.

Clearly we need to take the hint and go into politics. Irvan, we'd like a social combat/intrigue game where we grow faint at the sight of weaponry and blush deeply when someone suggests we do "peasant work" with our soft, delicate hands.

Then we'll start rolling like gods.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. My rolls have been beautiful.

We'll just chalk it up to the dice helping to move the story along...yes.

OOC:
AC is back to 16!

Oh dear lord... this is becoming comical!
Rolls
Power Attack with greatsword - (1d20+8, 2d6+11)
1d20+8 - ( 1 ) + 8 = 9
2d6+11 - ( 3, 5 ) + 11 = 19
CAN'T. BREATHE.

At this point, I'd be OK with people just posting pics of dice rolls from home....because this is getting hilariously reminiscent of old times of a war-cleric named Jacob and his Paladin buddy named Delrak from the one 4E game I played.

Look at that damage though! The floors and walls sure are getting hurt!
