"Have we decided an assault on the sewers of this town advances our goal, or we just like being seen as heroes? I suppose taking out as many dangers as we can goes towards the goal of cleaning up the land.
Having said that, my first thought is, there seems to be a lot of power here." I call the innkeeper over and ask him his thoughts on our chances clearing out the threat the the sewers and if he or anyone in this enchanted oasis has any wisdom or power that could help.

I think we will need some help to go after the thugs in the sewers. If I remember correctly, there are lots of them, more than the few of us can probably handle alone.

"Yes good sirs. You speak of the Viperhand? They have come about as a plague on this land when the old Temple of Zaltec fell. The jaguar knights transformed into Jagre and all manner of Evil beasts That strained the limits of natural law. We do not abide them here in the park. As for the rest of the city, it is full of new factions. The coming of Qotal back from the East has brought all kinds of woe and people have rushed in to the power vacuum of the old Temple. War has turned to Civil Strife. May I assist you in any way?"

Kit looks over at Kon with a huge sarcastic smirk on her face, "I say we drop Kon and his bag of colding into the sewers and offer unlimited ale in exchange for their peace."

"I know that you ask that question, Bluebard, with a weighty heart. I seek not to be seen as a hero, personally. But I also do not wish to move on and leave these people at the mercy of a network of thugs. If we are to save this world, but lose all the peoples of it in the process, what have we gained? I am for going into the sewers because I feel it is the right thing to do. It seems to me that these people must have been abandoned by any who could do something about it, and I do not wish to be counted as part of that group, personally."

"Nice Kitty. We need a battle plan. Know your assets. Marshall your forces. Root out the enemy. Flank them. Fight them. Pierce their hearts. "

Kit looks over at Dukalu, giving him a knowing look that only he'll understand why he's receiving it. "Well my love, I did have a dream..."

"Or we stop up the end of the sewers, wherever they be, and see how long it takes for Kon's tap to flood them out? Hahahaha."

"I thought Qotal was a god of peace. How has his coming back caused chaos?"

"Daddy won’t tell you. He never leaves the park. But I see the thugs come and go. They make money on the viperhand but they do not belong to it. These are thugs. More criminals who cannot make a living in this time of war without hurting people. They need to be stopped. They operate out of the waterworks. You can find them there gambling and betting on pit fights. A good fight wins favor in their ranks. But someone controls the thugs. And it is most unnatural."

"I would assume it's because he left in shame due to the reaction of him falling for and sleeping with Kiltzi. I could be wrong though."

"I agree, Chrome Dome. As for a plan, I agree with Kon, it would be nice to have some help. Also, perhaps stealth could be of use. Teth, can you transform into a spider again and do some recon of the area once we get closer?"
And to the innkeeper, "Do you know of others who may help in this noble pursuit to rid the city of this danger?"

"I think Zaltec and his priests didn’t want the god of peace to ruin their monopoly. But even that doesn’t explain it. I’ve heard that Faerunian gods have tried to capitalize on the conflict. Didn’t we see Faerunian vampires Infiltrate Qotal’s silver knights? "

Thank you for being honest with us. Perhaps we have our champion fight in the pits to win favor, and then look for ways to infiltrate and fight from within? I'd say Duke or Storm would be good gladiators, but maybe Duke since he tends to stay upright more.

"You have a noble quest but there are few who would test their lives for it. Have you talked to the Druid Circle of Spores? They were here at the table last night. They are known to plot and scheme. "

Kit looks at Storm, sizing him up and thinking... "Someone infiltrating the Viperhand could be useful past just getting rid of the thugs... depends on how much we're seeking to invest time wise into cleaning up this area before heading to the temple."

I amended my thoughts, which were "How has his coming back caused chaos for any but the false gods? I didn't know who may worship who around here. But now that it's in the open, yeah.

"You know how I like a battle, but dear love, you may be right about making a political coop. Joining factions could be advantageous. "

"I did inquire about them last night, but haven't yet heard any report back on said inquiry. I am yet hopeful though. The night it seems passed to quickly by.

"You'll need a bit of work on your look if we do that though love. Good thing I have a disguise kit." Kit smiles eagerly at the idea of getting to "decorate" your armor and shield.
