Come on Vane, can you find us a way in, or should we repel down and go in the front?

OOC:
Ah, makes sense now. We were looking at the girl and the window from across the ally. Sorry, I was out of it tired last night.
I allow Kon to see me, and then I cast a Disguise Self spell to appear like one of the ruffians, and then move around until I can see into the arena.

I believe we went into the same window as the girl

Relieved that the situation worked out, she looked for the boy who’d been flirty to go up to speak to him.
The kitchen boy does notice her and smiles but keeps serving and taking orders from the patrons. He turns not back to the kitchen but walks further around the balcony rail to a part of the mezzanine that has few tables and goes to a door and knocks. Kitsune approaches him.
She looks at him hungrily and smiles, "My my, I’d see if I could get a glass of ale, but you’re already a tall glass of wine..."
The boy turns around to hear what Kitsune say. He stand no taller than her and stumbles. "Um nice jugs... I mean, nice that you have jugs, I mean! Shoot! It’s nice that you have two mugs of ale left on your platter, the patrons inside will be asking." His face turns flush and the door behind him opens. A stern man snears at the two servants and motions them inside.

Kon follows Jacob into the room and then doesn’t see Jacob as much as a thin thug who winks at him. They enter the fray of tables.

Kit follows them in the room and looks around as she does.

The feel of this room is quite different. Pipes run up and down the walls inside this room. Rope ladders as stiff as metal webbing covers the pipes. There are two well dressed men sitting at what appears to be a dining room table except there is no food or candles, only scrolls and scrolls of numbers and figures. Quills seem to be magically active rewriting down more and more figures. While the two men take the ales, the doorman lays a gold coin on the tray. Kitsune notices the urchin girl at the bottom of the pipes some twenty feet below hiding in the shadows and intent on not being seen by the men who instead stare at the games through a window, wait not a window, a viewing lense that somehow shows the fighting pit close up with automatic replaying of certain actions when the men touch the viewing surface.

Gamblers offer Jacob a seat, bookies ask if he wants to bet, girls offer him ale and kitchen boys rush off to the kitchens below by spiral staircase to fetch more food. Blood and the smell of roasted merfolk rises from the scene below.

That might have been Kitsune who followed the one kitchen boy into the far room.

Kit walks over and offers ale to the men, making sure to show her every asset in the process.

One of the kitchen boys hand Kon a platter of dirty dishes and turns back to the tables to take orders. At the same time Kon hears talk about a brawl on the side of the lobby below. Immediately, side betting commences on the brawl.

One of the two men looks up as you lean over to set the ale on the table. He tallies your assets and finds no liabilities there. "You should stay and watch some of the fun," he tells you, offering his lap to sit on. Over his shoulder you see one of the viewing glasses move to focus on the brawl developing in the lobby. Above the figures of a plated mailed knight and a mountain Goliath are strange runes that indicate arcane traits. You do not understand what they mean, but they say things like "4-6 lvl fighter" and "two-handed" and "spy rings". Rather than focus on the ring that matches yours, the other man gets excited to see a blue highlight around the Goliath’s swords, particularly the black one.

I take an ale and pay the girl. I take a 5 GP bet on some random fighter in the arena, and add 2 GP as a side bet on the newcomers in the lobby. I keep an eye on the monitors to see how the fights turn out, but also stay vigilant around the room for danger and anything that I may have missed before.
OOC:
Last 4 rolls have been 10 or less.

Then you are certainly due some good rolls!
Looking around this mezzanine, you do not see anything that approximates a monitor, unless you mean the stoic thug in the corner with a battle ax and a platter of dirty dishes. You do have a good direct view of the throng in the lobby below and the pit in the level below that where a battle is winding down between the merfolk and pigdogs. You are certainly in direct line of sight an DDB within 120’ of a message spell to Duke and Storm should you choose to use it.

The gossip among the gamblers is that the pigdogs will gain status with the Queen after so many fights. The merfolk will be added to the sculpture of the black widow spider, and there is now a whisper about a powerful magic item below that the queen wants One thug elbows the elf and drawls, "The merfolk should consider themselves lucky not to thrown into the bowels to become More Merrow Folk for the beast, eh?!?"

"Not too fond of the fishmen," I show him a scar. "Betting on the pigdogs. This round."
I cast a Sending Spell to let Storm know his enchanted blade may have been detected and desired by big baddies."
OOC:
Stormy, I know you were catching up. Just making sure you saw this.

"Heh. You ain’t gonna get any takers on that bet. Looks like the pigdogs are finished wit ‘em. Next up will be the Fungus Sisters if any will try them tonight."

Kit sits dutifully on his lap, making sure to smile eagerly at him. As she sees her husband on the screen, she folds her hands to hide that she's wearing a wedding ring and she thinks, "Be safe please."

She looks around the room cautiously, looking to see if there's a key to the door downstairs, at one point locking eyes with the urchin and gives her a look subtly as if to ask what she's doing.
