Mythbusters did a great set of experiments with creating flour fireballs. I think they tried cornstarch, too.

At first a crackle is heard in the air as the flour dust cloud ignites, then there is a whose of a chain reaction. The cloud explodes with fiery brilliance as the flesh begins to cook and melt off the thugs armor and bones. The plumb of fire even blasts nearby spectators on the mezzanine above. The blast pushes Jacob back as he was only expecting a nice burning action. He falls back safely into the private room. The blast had the same effect on Caine and now Kitsune and two bookies take in the air choking air of the room as well. The room fills with smoke so that it is hard to see, elven sight or not. Teth the rat scampers down the room to the lowest level. That rat is not stupid.

Having readied for an attack and been attacked from a distance, I use my readied reaction to summon Maggie with a stone?

Sending my thoughts to Maggie... I want you to flame those hags... and if you can get some of those thugs in the process, it wouldn't hurt. Then drive them towards the three of us. I want to get some licks in with my swords.

Sorry, was reading back trying to find where all the flour came from, lol. Until Kit said balcony at the end, I thought I was supposed to blast the bag in the girls hand.

I dash up to the left hag and engage it in melee. I can’t attack after running that far, but I’ll at least get an opportunity attack in if she leaves, right?

Kit begins a coughing spree. "Two levels above you. I'm unharmed, just lots of smoke. I can't see Jacob or Teth but I think they're okay too." She tries to aim for where she recalled the door being, searching in the air for Jacob and moving her feet carefully so as to not step on Teth. Feeling Teth at her foot, she picks her up and puts her in her large pocket. Finding the door, she exits and calls out, "Jacob, are you okay?!"

Caine jumps up and uses the cover of the smoke to jump down into the steamy river of the pit. From there, she swims to the edge and dashes for the cave entrance.
