Nice art, but he looks more half orc.

What direction would you like to take it? These aren’t hairy mountain dwarves.

This one is much better. I don't mean to sound picky, but let me throw something at ya.
My main thought was a combo of Balin and Dwalin from the Hobbit(Dwalins rugged face with or without the facial hair and balins thick mane of hair or something similiar. Just a thought.
