Morris explains more about Ranks and quests. Quests have ranks as well and adventurers can only take quests which are allowed for their ranks. There are some quests that are free for all ranks and quests that may be exclusively for beginners. Morris suggests that since you are just starting why not join one of those beginner quests.

You won't get much from Rank E quests but they are relatively safer compared to the others. To take quests that are higher than your rank, you may try joining parties in which case the party leader can choose the quest which can be quests that are suitable for his/her rank.

Climbing higher in the ranks require recommendation, for your rank you just need three people qualified to recommend such as other higher ranking adventurers, us guild staff, or important people like the mayor.

"If you're ready to take on a quest, just take a post from the quest board and hand it to me." Morris says as he direct your attention to the boards.

Morris tells you that you need to finish at least one quest equal to your rank every month otherwise your adventurers license will be revoked and it will be much harder to get a new license. The license may get stolen or destroyed, you just need to report these incidents to the on any adventurer's guild to get a replacement. Failing is fine but failing too many quests will affect your reputation making it harder for you to get quests which may eventually lead you to not getting any quest at all resulting to the revocation of your license.

Sho thanks Morris again and go choose his first quest!

You looked at the boards, there's quite a number of quests in here. Most quests are ranked E, D, and C. The quests higher than rank B are rare, and you did not see any quest higher than Rank S. Right now you can take E rank quests but you can also check the tables for parties who might want to take on higher ranking quests and are looking for a scout.

What kind of quest are you looking for?

Gathering - requests to gather certain items that are otherwise difficult for normal citizens to acquire.
Investigation - request to aid in an investigation, such as to search for a thief or to look for a missing person.
Assistance - request to assist, such as house clean up or building construction.
Subjugation - request to subjugate a monster or a number of monsters that are causing a problem.
Specialized - request for specific jobs such as counts requesting performers for their ball.

As long as you finish the quests in time, the guild doesn't mind how many quests you take. However, failing many quests have repercussions that may lead to the revocation of your license.

Sho will look first for any gathering, investigation and subjugation that he can clear quickly with his Bunny Hop and Rabbit Ears.

He'll also gloss over the name of the assistance questgiver to see if any of those would be good relationship to have for a new adventurer.

There are four E rank gathering quests which are all about gathering certain things back in Bezelbebe forest.

Gathering: Glowheart Mushroom
Gathering: Healberry
Gathering: Frogfruit
Gathering: Butterherb

The requestors are all different but the notes says you need not directly deliver the goods to them. You can just send them to the guild and the adventurer's guild will be the one to deliver them.
There's two investigation requests in Newtown, one asks for a stolen fishing vessel while the other is about searching for a lost adventurer in Bezelbebe. You need to talk to one of the clerks for more details. The difficulty is decided to be both rank D/E.
As for subjugation, there are three hunts going on. One asks for the extermination of the remianing blue goblins in Bezelbebe, another seeks for someone to deal with the giant bat in a nearby cave, the last one's about hunting down a large boarbear in the forest. These are new requests.

As for important people, most of them are merchants and craftsmen. The mayor was the one who requested the subjugation of the boar bear. A certain Count Claustro requested the gathering of Frogfruits. Newtown's adventurer's guild's head requested the search for the missing adventurer.

Sho hesitate a second over the gathering quest then decide not to be too greedy. He has no way of knowing if he can find those quickly.

Instead, he quickly grabs The lost adventurer investigation, the blue goblin and the boarbear hunts. With those thhree quests, he goes back to the counter and ask for the extras details.

Sho returns to Morris with the quests he picked.

"On a rush eh?" He says as he scans the quests Sho picked. He explains that other adventurers are doing the goblin extermination as well, the reward for that quest depends on the number of blue goblins eliminated. How the adventurer's guild will be able to confirm the kill count, Morris explains that the guild card records monster kills. No need to collect a trophy like goblin's ears, after all those pests turn to soil when they die.

As for the boarbear, their kind should be living deeper in Bezelbebe but somehow one of the beasts wander too close to Newtown. The request's from homeowners near the forest. Apparently, boarbears make loud sounds at night.

For the lost adventurer, Morris says he'd arrange for a meeting between you and someone who may have a lead to where the missing adventurer could be. He says you can come tomorrow noon.

Sho thanks Morris yet again. He promess to be there the next day for the infos, take the address of the the homeowner near the forest and take his leave.

Not wanting to waste any day of this new extraordinary life, Sho plans to head to Bezelbebe forest very soon. Before that, he wanders a little bit in the town, appreciating the sight and stop at an equipment shop or two for a wooden boomerang and a light armor.
