You talk to Oscar or show him things that indicate your intentions to bury the body in consecrated ground and bring him peace. Oscar understands that he is no longer alive and that it has been many years since he was murdered. He realizes that you are not the people he hates, and directs his reinforcements to back of. It turns out he had taken control over those in the inn who were asleep, and they were coming to kill you.

You can now bury the body. Digging at the center of the root cellar will find Oscar’s skeleton. It must be buried in consecrated ground. If any of you are priests or versed in religious rituals, you can consecrate the ground themselves and bury the body. Or you could get the drunk priest to do it.

Anders goes looking for a wheel barrow, if they are going to bring this to the church something to carry the remains easily seems useful.
OOC:
I figure they have a shovel, a wheel barrow seems like an easily accessible item to match

You find a barrow and carefully load the body into it, while the spirit watches over you. Billby Church is two kilometers south of the inn. The church itself is locked, but one can easily enter the cemetery.

You make your way to the ball and find an empty plot, and begin to dig. You're cold, the rain pours and the wind howls like screaming in the distance. As you are digging in the cemetery, you can see Oscar’s spirit watching them gratefully from a distance.

When Oscar’s body is buried in consecrated ground, his soul is finally put to rest. Oscar disappears and his magic ceases. The storm breaks up immediately, and the rain stops.

It's never a bad thing to put a tortured soul to rest. I think we did a good thing here today.

We did. But we still have an innkeeper who is a little heavy handed with his daughter, and was with his wife.
Any ideas on how we can deal with that, or if we should.

Most of the backstory was explained in the play and in the journal.

Uuh right, I've written this without thinking about it, I'm really sorry ^^'. I'll just delete it I guess.

This is pretty much the end of the scenario. There is some closure elements that we could do, but maybe tonight I'll wrap it up and add a little more info to fill in extra pieces.

May Oscar rest in peace. Anders slams his shovel into the ground next to the new gravesite.
OOC:
That was fun, took a bit figuring out the flow of the story/mystery elements but I have enjoyed myself

Epilogue
There isn't much you can do about Sami. You have no police powers and your investigation is into Vaesen rather than mundane problems. However, with the haunting spector of Oscar Klint gone, life in the Witch Cat Inn will return more to normal.

Nora, Sami's wife, ran away and joined an acting troupe, but she died of illness three months later. Twenty years ago, she had had an affair with an actor, and Sami could never forgive her, or actors in general. When she began fussing about acting things again, as the ghost feed her images of his own past and his design of a shadow play, all of that was dredged back up. After Nora left, Sophia became haunted with the scenes from the shadow play of Oscar's life, and his murder.

What Wasn't Revealed
The murderers were not revealed, other than Pyri, Sami's grandfather. They belonged to a secret society, the Society actually, and met to discuss changes in the Vaesen. Their actions that night fifty years ago, have set in motion or shaped much of what occurred with Vaesen every since. Oscar refused to cooperate, and Pyri slit his throat. What they discovered, or why this happened, is party of an ongoing meta plot to be revealed in future supplements.

The other part not revealed is what woke the spirit of Oscar as a Revenant after nearly fifty years.
