Kaiju Character Discussion

@LeftyLovecraft and GreyGriffin, how are you both doing, so far? Haven’t heard from either of you in a while. Any questions?

That all hit pretty fast. I had been planning to spend some time this week cramming on the rules but that got bumped due to various life circumstances.

Do you have a planned start date/time? I am going to try to take time this weekend to take it in, but I don't really have anything meaningful to add to the discussion at present until I've got my head back around the system. My recall of old Savage Worlds was not as crisp as I had hoped.

I’m getting a little stuck on my character, sorry. I keep feeling like my concept won’t work very well, or is too similar to one we already have. Not the greatest mindset to have when I’m still learning the rules, I know... 😅

I’m beginning to settle on a concept. A giant serpent-like creature, awoken by deforestation in the Amazon rainforest. Body made of plants, defender of the forests of the world. Taking inspiration from Mesoamerican and South American folklore, as well as Biollante.

Oof, sorry guys. A cascade of health and work issues fell all over me this week. I really like the game concept, but I really feel like I need to have a firmer grip on the rules before I can really work through a modded version of chargen. The interest is there, but I need some time to read, digest, and experiment before I can really get started, and I don't want to hold you back.

If it's OK to jump in a little later, I'd be happy to stick around and lurk until I can get things together. Seeing the game in action and watching characters in motion might also help some things click that just aren't jumping off the screen at me. But if you need me to vacate a spot, then I can dip.

In leaning toward the ninja of kaiju, the mega millipede. A Walking Natural Disaster, is heavily deformed, turning it into a mega millipede hydra. Armor and mandibles will feature, climbing and sneaking, and maybe some kind of bioacid spray attack. Smokebombs!
