Hmmm toss up between 1 and 3. Is the barbarian class allowed? I saw it on the advanced bx rules book but hounding list it. If normalised then I'll probably just go fighter I guess

I added a basic list of Cleric Spells to the character creation thread. You won't need to add any untul you hit level 2, but when you do, I'll add the full descriptions to that post so you can choose which spells you have available to use and what they do.

I’ve gone and spent all my starting gold and filled in what equipment I purchased. I think I’m all ready to go now, but if anyone wants to look over my sheet and point out any glaring errors that would be handy

Looks perfect to me, my only critique is that I personally would take a sword over a warhammer for the larger damage dice. I know it's not thematically as fitting for a dwarf as a hammer but for a fighter type more damage = more job well done ;)

Funnily enough that was the point I was agonising over for quite a while. When I was knitting him out I looked straight for the best damage output. But that felt like I was min /maxing so I went thematic. I honestly would have gone for battle axe but it’s a two handed and the rules made out that dwarfs can’t use that (it didn’t say specifically, but given that two handed sword and long bow were not allowed I assumed all two handed weapons would be included)

I kind of flub on the battleaxe rule for Dwarfs, because I think it's insane that a dwarf couldn't wield a battleaxe. It's such a "dwarfey" type of weapon in the first place, and dwarves are supposed to be these expert metalworkers, I think it ridiculous that they couldn't make a battleaxe with a shorter handle.
So in the IRL game of B/X I run, we have a dwarf PC (had actually, until last week... B/X is pretty unforgiving). I basically made a rule that a Dwarf can wield a battleaxe if either 1) They came with it at character creation (implying they had a battleaxe specifically crafted for their shorter stature somewhere before they headed out into a world of adventuring), or 2) they pay to have it specially crafted for them later (which costs the same as a regular battleaxe but usually takes a few days to make).
I'm willing to stick with that rule here. If you'd like to start with a battleaxe, that's fine. We'll just assume that you had it made by dwarves specifically for your shorter stature. A longer handle probably gives a swinging weapon some extra velocity, which translates to the extra damage, but maybe a dwarf's compact muscle frame allows for some extra weight and heft in the axe's head, which makes up for the shorter handle... That sort of thing. So you still get to the damage of a regular battleaxe.
Now, if you kill a human enemy wielding a battleaxe, it's assumed they were probably using a full-sized axe, and it would be too long for a dwarf to just pick up and use, but I see no reason why a dwarf can't have items crafted to suit their stature.

Let's not forget that Thorin of Durin's Line wielded a sword in The Hobbit ;)@Funfungiguy thanks, but I’m going to stick with the hammer I think. It works with the shield, which gives that extra protection (especially given how brutal everyone says combat is in the game lol). I’m halfway through making up a barbarian to replace my dwarf if and when he does, and I expect he will be swinging a battle axe
