I will be posting/looking for players to run the first game in a series of adventures that has the players gathering magical artifacts that are too powerful to fall into the hands of their enemies. if we get through the first adventure and everyone wants to, we will continue on to the next adventure and hit a definite stopping point when all 5 adventures have been played.

if you're interested, join in! this will be where I learn how to run a PBP game and I figured a canned adventure in a system I studied way more than I should have would be an easy starting point. if you are familiar with this adventure, feel free to pass on this unless your memory is very bad. if you want to use this as an opportunity to learn the Mage: the Awakening game, I'm open to teaching new people! I love this game!

I would be interested. I don't know Mage the Awakening but I've read through Vampire the Requiem player book and listened to a hunter podcast. Still new to PbP myself just started in a DnD 5e game this week.

Are you talking old school Mage: The Awakening with d10 used for everything, or the Monte Cooke Mage game?

Sounds interesting to me I'm up for it. Let us know if you'll be using the update for God Machine.

this is the d10 white wolf Mage: the Awakening. I will not be using the update for the god machine since these adventures were released long before that. This version of mage is the new world of darkness released in 2004, not the old world of darkness Mage: the Ascension.

I set the game for 5 players, but if we are hovering at 4 for a day or two I'll start the game.

Okay it says rotes are encouraged over spontaneous casting, does this mean spontaneous casting is not permitted? And as far as rotes do mean rotes only from the book, or do you want us to submit rotes?

sorry for the confusion. I mean that all the spells you see in the book, those are rotes. take those. spontaneous casting will be allowed, but it tends to be a lot harder to do than magic that you have practiced to the point that it's second nature. I've played in games where the players took no rotes and just relied on spontaneous casting and it bogged the game down and just annoyed me.

@darthoingoboingo it looks like you have at least four players already signed up for the game. I wanted to but I don't think I could guarantee a post a day. That and the character inspiration I had drew from outside the corebook. Look forward to following along the story!
