Goodman Games have released free beta rules for their DCC offshoot, XCrawl Classics. I'm a huge fan of DCC so I want to test out the new XCC rules. Unsure what XCC is? Here's a small synopsis:
Xcrawl is both a game and a game-within-a-game. In the world of Xcrawl, players take the roles of superstar athletes participating in a modern death sport. Dungeon Judges create arena dungeon challenges full of monsters, traps, puzzles, and treasure. The dungeons are artificial, but nonetheless lethal.
Think of it as Ninja Warrior meets Running Man meets Death Race 2000 with magic. The game is gonzo, over the top, with larger than life superstar characters murdering and getting murdered in spectacular ways. If you're interested let me know!
