Magical research: A magic-user of any
level may spend time and money on
magical research. This allows them to
add new spells to their spell book and to
research other magical effects.
Spell casting: Magic-users carry spell
books containing the formulae for arcane
spells.
Using magic items: As spell casters,
magic-users are able to use magic scrolls
of spells on their spell list. They can also
use items that may only be used by arcane
spell casters (e.g. magic wands).
Also, what is your alignment: Lawful, Neutral, or Chaotic?
Also, it would probably be best if Eltrezar was already in Hommlet. Do you know why?
1. Your THAC0 is 19, not 20. Negative modifiers to melee/ranged combat affect your attack rolls, but don't have any effect on THAC0 and all first level PCs start with a THAC0 19. Basically the only thing that will influence THAC0 is when you gain Levels. THAC0 20 is basically reserved for commoner NPCs, like villagers and farmers.
2. Your Total Weight for determining Encumbrance right now is 115, not 210. We use Option 2 for determining that, meaning the only things that count towards Encumbrance is weapons, armour, treasure, and then 80 coins of weight is added to factor in miscellaneous adventuring gear (backpack and everything you carry inside). Don't worry too much about Encumbrance though, unless you like that sort of thing. I have a spreadsheet that figures it out on my end and I try and keep you all up to date on how it effects your Movement Rate if anything changes.

1. Your "AC" is written as "14". It should be a 5 (7 for Leather, -2 for Dex modifier)
2. Your "Init" is written as "-1". It should be +1 for Dex Modifier.
2. Does he carry a long sword or a short sword? Will make a difference for both Damage and Encumbrance.
For the sword, he has a longsword in the form of a saber. But hopefully he won't be in melee too often.
