OOC:
I'll happily accept that reroll, before the Halfling can object.
Jan 12, 2021 6:16 pm
OOC:
lmao! I love this slogan! And yes, no first level mage should have to live with a 1 on spell damage... Just ain't right.

OOC:
if I ever DM a game, there will be a tavern called "The objectionable halfling"

Seeing other fighters come in to take on the lizard, Gilly will set about moving back.

She takes a step backwards, shield raised. The beast follows her step, having just lashed out at her. Gilly stabs out with her blade, in an effort to put some distance between it and her.
OOC:
Gilly will fighting retreat one or two squares. Stab out and move back. She’ll be switching over to arrows next turn!

Rolls

Attack - (1d20+1)

(8) + 1 = 9

Damage - (1d6+1)

(3) + 1 = 4

Jan 13, 2021 12:19 am
Seeing the Halfling taking a more defensible position, Eltrezar follows suit. He begins mumbling in a dialect alien to all present, and as he slowly steps backwards a bolt of magic erupts from a pointed finger. The arcane energy flies forward dodging all allies, striking the lizard with a nearly noiseless impact.
OOC:
Eltrezar moves back to K-11 and casts Magic Missile.

Rolls

Magic Missile - (1d6+1)

(4) + 1 = 5

Jan 13, 2021 3:18 am
Gilly's attack misses and she navigates the rubble underfoot while swinging her weapon. Eltrezar backs up and throws a Magic Missile spell at the lizard, striking it had across the right side of its face and it responds with a very lizard-like hiss as a huge hole is opened in the side of its skull.

Irritated by the attack, it lunges for another bite...
OOC:
1-3 is Elmo, 4-6 is Alice
... and catches Elmo on the hand with a bit of a nip.
OOC:
Round 2 continues! Turn order is as follows:
1. Gilly (6)
2. Eltrezar, Giant Lizard (4)
-->3. Angel (3)
4. Alice (2)
5. Elmo (3, 2-handed)

Rolls

Giant Lizard Attack roll, Damage roll - (1d20, 1d8)

1d20 : (17) = 17

1d8 : (1) = 1

Target Selection roll - (1d6)

(1) = 1

Jan 13, 2021 9:37 pm
OOC:
Thanks for waiting for me on round 2. Don't know where the time went. Maybe I'm just getting into too much stuff.
Angel pulls out another arrow noticing the dwindling quantity, notches it on the string, takes careful aim and lets fly.

Rolls

Bow attack on Giant Lizard - (1d20+2)

(2) + 2 = 4

damage - (1d6)

(5) = 5

Jan 13, 2021 11:34 pm
Alice swings again and again at the scaled abomination, swinging down with the spiked back end of her hammer to try and punch through the iron like hide.

Rolls

Attack/Damage - (1d20+1, 1d6+1)

1d20+1 : (9) + 1 = 10

1d6+1 : (4) + 1 = 5

OOC:
luck is not with us on this one...
Jan 13, 2021 11:48 pm
OOC:
@Aldrusian: No problem
@everyone: I'll tell you this. It has a really nasty THAC0, and a 1d8 bite is no joke. But Eltrezar's Magic Missile recked that lizard's ass up.
Jan 13, 2021 11:52 pm
Elmo hold his position and swings his axe at the lizard...
... but the swing misses.

Rolls

Elmo Attack roll, Damage roll - (1d20+1, 1d8+1)

1d20+1 : (3) + 1 = 4

1d8+1 : (6) + 1 = 7

Having just whiffed on his swing, Elmo immediately brings his axe back in a backhand attack...
... and again misses the lizard.
OOC:

Seeing that the beast continues to thrash against the party, Eltrezar returns to his more common tactic of peppering with knives. His arcane energy expended for the day (through to great effect), he draws another dagger and wearily moves back into an optimal range before releasing the blade.
OOC:
Eltrezar moves to L-12 for close-range.

Rolls

Attack - (1d20)

(6) = 6

Damage - (1d4)

(4) = 4

Jan 14, 2021 12:09 am
Eltrezar's dagger glances off the lizard's scales.
OOC:
And I think L13 is actually what you meant, so that's where I have your token.

Round 3 continues! Turn order is as follows:
1. Elmo (6)
2. Eltrezar (5)
-->3. Angel, Gilly, Giant Lizard (4)
4. Aice (3)

Hopefully Angel or Gilly can put an end to this monster, because it's going to bite someone and the result are probably going to be really bad for you...

Also, Eltrezar in melee range? That seems like not a good life choice...

Oh wait... Did Eltrezar go melee and stab at L12, or thrown dagger at L13?
Jan 14, 2021 12:14 am
OOC:
I definitely meant to throw, but within the 10ft range. A little closer than comfort, but this scrawny wiz needs every bonus he can get.

Gilly grabs her bow, and sure to select a mundane arrow, sets one knee on the stone floor and fires into the creatures chest.
OOC:
Well, anyway... :D

@charles.c.cowley: Okay got it.
Gilly fires and arrow, and again it bounces off the herd scales of the creature...
OOC:
I'll give Angel a chance to put this animal down, then I'm fixin' to wreak someone's day with my rad lizard.

Round 3 continues! Turn order is as follows:
1. Elmo (6)
2. Eltrezar (5)
-->3. Angel, Gilly, Giant Lizard (4)
4. Aice (3)
