"Jo’Thun mentioned the ship was ready for launch, is the route to Gizer not already in the ships computer? If not, I will assist."

Pergano smiles, We will just have to go see then. Couldn't hurt to be prepared. If you two think you might be useful in the cockpit by all means come along, but if not I guess just have another drink. Just save some for me for later wont you? he says as he points to Bilh and Ken.

Pergano heads into the cockpit and sits in the pilots chair. Hands starting to flip switches all about him and prepping for takeoff.

Ad-hoc follows him into the cockpit, watching as the Xexto deftly preps the ship for launch. The droid had no intention of learnig to pilot a ship, but was fascinated by the process.

The ship begins to hum as Pergano brings the power from Standby to Full. Making the perfunctory call to Spaceport control, Pergano receives permission to depart in short order.

The crew feels the smooth sensation of motion as the ship lifts and makes the climb out of Lantillies' atmosphere. Jeswain, from the co-pilots seat, pulls up the route to Gizer and makes the last minute adjustments before Pergano pulls the lever that makes the jump.
OOC:
Because the universe is in constant motion, an Astrogation check is usually required just before jumping through Hyperspace, however, unless your being rushed, it's almost impossible to fail and doesn't affect the story. Jeswain has Astrogation as a skill, so I prompted him for brevity. The trip to Gizer will take less than 8 hours, Let me know if anyone wants to do anything interesting in that time.

Having seen plenty of launches, Ken stays in the lounge with his feet up, sipping his drink.

When his drink is finished he decides to have a look through the ship storage lockers to see if there are any small arms stowed onboard.

As the ship slips into hyperspace, Pergano leans back in his seat. Feels good to be back in the pilots seat. He continues to monitor the systems of the ship for awhile before he decides to retire to the common room for a drink and to socialize with his new compatriots.

Jeswain, enjoyed slipping into a role that he could perform with confidence. He takes a cue from Pergano and heads to the common room. He would like to know more about the origins of this ship, it seemed strange for a ship in such good condition to be assigned to a relatively unknown crew.

Jeswain asks aloud, "Does anybody else think it’s odd that they’d assign us such a nice ship? It seems like as an unknown, we would normally be given something less valuable."

Jeswain ponders his question for a moment, but nothing jumps to mind. The complexities of the interplanetary shipping business elude him for today.
OOC:
Yep, announce what you want to do, grab dice, roll and go - we can retcon it if we need to :)

"Well, they did add a remotely activated locator beacon on the ship. That must lessen the risk quite a bit. There is also the fact that if you do manage to get away with the ship, you are burned in the whole sector. You are free game for both the policing forces and the criminal elements. I'm sure he has contacts with most of the groups who could buy the ship, either whole or in part.

So all he has to do is do enough background checks to avoid the super smart, totally crazy, nothing to lose type and the risk is pretty minimal. Meanwhile, the show of "trust" must help him win quite a bit of loyalty from new potential recruits. That's what i figure anyway."

I would tend to agree with Blih. This isn't a particularly long trip, they have a tracker if needed and companies like this aren't generally the ones you want to get on the bad side of.

Pergano's hands are a buzz with motion as he talks, what can only be described as his "main hands" seem to be gesturing with what he is talking about while his two other hands seem to be just keeping busy about him. One is pilfering through his own pockets while the other is spinning a coin between its fingers.

Besides, this job seems easy enough as a cargo haul.

Fair points. And I'm certainly not complaining, I'm just not accustomed to a new ship. Jeswain concedes as he finds a comfortable spot and takes a seat.

The rest of the Hyperspace journey completes uneventfully. Emerging from Hyperspace, you are about the expected safe distance from Gizer. The space traffic is lighter than around Lantillies, but there are still plenty of ships to be aware of.

Contacting the spaceport in the capital city get's you landing coordinates and docking permission. Soon, you are slicing through the atmosphere and touching down on the landing pad without issue.

As the heat dissipates from around the ship, you can observe that the Gizer City Spaceport is about the same size as the Lantillies port, but the landing pads are bigger and seem to not to be as closely packed in. Giving you an altogether more open and relaxed feel.

AD-hoc makes his way to the common room where most are gathered and ask, "Query; Who will contact Corbin MacRogers to facilitate the unloading of the cargo and see if he has an additional job for us?"

Ken joins the others in the common room, he sweeps in wearing a velvet smoking jacket and carrying a martini glass containing a bright blue drink. Sipping the glass he says to AD-hoc, 'Me tinka kavaa hopa'.

'I'm sure Mr MacRogers will be happy to meet the great Keno Tetsu', he gives another disconcerting wink with his nictitating membrane (it just doesn't look right when a Rodian does it).

'But maybe Blih could give me a hand, just in case.'

"That would be no problems, I'll go with you."

Addressing the group "Who is planning to stick around if there is additional jobs?

I could always use the credits and this ship isn't too shabby

"Count me in on the next job too."

"Indeed, I can definitely put on a antennapalp on both Jo’Thun and MacRogers to get a feel of who we are dealing with. If you are patient enough, I can also do it before we finish the delivery or accept any new job. A few hours at port and a couple of credit should be enough."

Comm'ing the local Lantillian shippers guild house is simple enough. MacRogers isn't difficult to reach and signals he will be out to meet you in about 15 minutes.

Time goes quickly as you finish the various tasks that go with a recently landed ship. In short order, five beings, two of which are guiding repulsor skiffs appear at the docking pad. The human is the lead is short by most standards, a meter and a half at best. He's dressed nice, for a spacer, and carries himself with a practiced ease.

"Well, bless my stars, Jo'Thun didn't waste anytime finding a crew for the Longshot. And by your arrival time and the distinct lack of carbon scoring on the hull, it looks like you had a smooth trip. " He smiles at you and reaches into a jacket pocket, producing 5 credsticks.

"Here's the other two-fifty you were promised on delivery. If your interested in doing more, I'm just waiting on a customer to confirm if he needs us or not."
