Ernest stares at the things not quite sure what he's seeing.
Charles seems to be laughing at the spectacle
Rupert is attacking Riley.
Lang deftly moves in from behind and sweeps Rupert's legs from under him, pinning him to the ground.
Bobby can act..

How far away are these things from us? Like is this a distant scene, or are we in harm's way?Jun 1, 2021 2:31 pm
Knifesedgegames says:

Lang deftly moves in from behind and sweeps Rupert's legs from under him, pinning him to the ground.
OOC:
Seems like it's already under control, unless I'm missing something? Is anyone else fighting each other? Regardless, Bobby's definitely more concerned with the monstrosities in front of them than ol' four-eyes hitting somebody with a book.Bobby lunges towards Wilson, attempting to cover his mouth and silence his laughter.
[ooc]I don't want to spend Luck if the roll isn't necessary, but if spending it will benefit us by keeping the monsters from noticing us for now... then I will.

In space no one can hear you scream :) I think even though Charles looks like he is laughing no sound is made.Jun 1, 2021 4:11 pm
OOC:
Oh, duh. I forgot we can't make noise. In that case, while Riley et al are getting things under control, is there anything I can do to survey the scene and try to identify a particularly discrete way to approach the gate?

Bobby surveys the area from behind the carts and Lang struggles to hold down Rupert.
Lang writes on his board: WE NEED A PLAN
Watching the scene unfold before you, you see two of the slug-things approach the spider-machine, laden with ore. They proceed to clamber atop the machine and raise a circular hatch, through which they drop their loads. Meanwhile, the other two creatures head towards the cooling ore and seem to "dance" over its surface. It is only when they pull away, that you can see the creatures have carved arcane symbols into the ore's surface. Once this procedure has been carried out once, you notice a pair of mi-go fly down onto the plateau.

(Seeing Mi_go for the first time requires another San check (except those already in a Bout of Madness))Jun 2, 2021 11:25 pm
Charles sees the Mi-go and begins crying, his face so red from intense belly laughing. He looks at Larry making small fairy wing guestures.

EDIT: Whoops just realized I didn’t need to roll :) the post stands... Last edited June 2, 2021 11:27 pm

Still in his bout of madness, Rupert begins struggling to get free. He isn't very strong though, so it is relatively pointless
