Yeah I rolled a Base Saving Throw for the Yroc but it probably got lost in all those rolls lol. Did he not attack this round? And you rolled a d20 for initiative this time?

OOC:
Yes he did take an action this round ;) and as for the d20 roll thanks my bad -- divide the roll by 2 and round up -- I just sometimes forget some of the details myself which is why all them notes are there ;)

I do need Quincy's init roll for the next round

Magnus, watches, standing next to Corwyn, in a soft voice he says "Looks like Quincy could prove a useful companion don't you think?"
Feb 21, 2021 12:36 am
"Most definitely. I haven't had many dealings with monks but he seemed to hold his own on the way here," referring to the perilous journey with the caravan. Lowering his voice so only Magnus can hear, "I was thinking of getting a round of drinks in, but I've gone off the idea. Once Quincy has sorted out the pub bully I think we should try and persuade this Uriak Hathaqua to go to another tavern. I'd like to get out of this dive as soon as possible."

The Yroc moves taking a swipe at Quincy with one of his big fists, however Quincy is able to adroitly avoid the swing which he noticed seemed to anticipate his initial move requiring him to quickly alter that with a different move.

Did you just find a use for the infamously terrible True Strike?
To dodge the incoming attack, Quincy deftly slips behind its lumbering body. With full access to the Yroc's backside, Quincy jabs the center of its spine, trying to hit specific pressure points. When he brings his fist back for a second strike, the Yroc turns around, and Quincy's hand simply punches fat, causing nothing more than a ripple in the Yroc's large body mass.

OOC:
For those whom it might affect -- Simple Weapons (Unarmed Strike) is Finesse and deals 1d3-1 base damage plus STR or DEX modifier based on which was used to attack with. While Martial Weapons (Unarmed Strike) is Finesse and deals 1d4 damage. Tavern Brawler does not increase the Martial Weapon Unarmed Strike damage and thus is primarily used to bring a Simple Weapon user up to a Martial Weapon user's status. I will add an Unarmed Combat Feat that addresses the Martial Weapon version if anyone becomes interested in it.

Rolls

Unarmed Strike (Action) - (1d20+4)

(15) + 4 = 19

Doesn't he go again? The new initiative every round is throwing me off a little lol.

OOC:
He won initiative for the third round and took another swing at your character and connected -- as such it is your characters turn to go and as part of your actions you should roll initiative for next round -- if you beat a 7 then you get to go again if you do not beat the seven then I go -- then at the end of my round I will include my initiative for next round so that you know whether or not at the end of your next turn whether you go first or second for that next round --- however if it might help any we could, instead of saying next round, keep track of the rounds 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc... in regards to each initiative roll

.... Quincy won initiative
1st Round
.... Quincy attacked
.... Mukitz got up and did something
.... Mukitz won initiative
2nd Round
.... Mukitz attacked
.... Quincy attacked
.... Mukitz won initiative
3rd Round
.... Mukitz attacked
.... Quincy ???
.... Who wins Initiative?
4th Round
Feb 22, 2021 5:46 am
As the Yroc lands his first hit on Quincy, it throws Q off his balance, for only but a moment. The Yroc celebrates his success, turning to the crowd for validation and praise, but Quincy closes his eyes and focuses inward. Then leaps into the air, spinning and flipping all around, until finally a foot suddenly CRACKS against Mukitz' jaw. Quincy lands on his feet and leaps towards the Yroc in his dazed state. Quincy lands one more solid punch across his face before Mukitz shakes it off and lumbers forward again. Quincy begins backing up, launching two punches that Mukitz easily deflects.

OOC:
No it just did not signal me that a new post had been made -- but I think your Damage is off a smidge

First Hit Crit (9 + 1d4) ?? Your weapon damage is 1d4 thus max from Crit would be 4 + 1d4+4 thus if I am understanding the rolls correctly that would be 4 + 1d4(3) + 4 = 11 damage

BUT -- you did not roll a subsequent d20 to see if you extended the Crit. All you looking for is if you get another 20 as Crits can be exploding but rarely do so.

And the Second Hit was (1d4(3)+4) = 7 --- so assuming you do not Crit again total damage in 4th round was 18

OOC:
Yeah I mistyped 9 on the roll description but I couldn't go back and fix it, so I just put the correct amount in the damage breakdown spoiler thingy. But I did not realize the critical exploding mechanic, so I will roll that now

Be careful concluding the final results of your attacks you might have the big on his feet when he should be on his keester -- not this time but would really hate to let them stand because you said he was ;)
The Mukitz was actually staggered by that kick but the following punch stood him back up and he was able to swat the next two attacks aside. He then followed that up by swinging mightily at the little guy with the impressive fighting ability and, even though he was able to use his dazed stagger to allow him to launch a pair of attacks before the little guy could respond, he was unable to land anything effectively.

Secret Roll

Feb 26, 2021 7:28 pm
Quincy dodges the Mukitz' two big swings. As the second one passes by overhead, Quincy leaps upward, striking the yroc in an uppercut. Quincy then smashes his foot into Mukitz' chest and backflips through the air. He lands with utmost grace in a three-point landing, and looks up, readying himself to dodge anymore incoming attacks.

The last two hits was about all the big Yroc could take and the foot into his chest laid him out soundly. Some of those watching toss coins into the circle, while someone else throws some ale into Mukitz face. Mukitz shakes off the ale with a groan and runs a hand over his face then props himself up on his elbow. "Well done kid, that some mighty impressive skills you have and the money is yours you won it." Then he looks over towards Hath and says, "You were right Boo he is something different." The animal in Hath's hands makes a chattering noise in response. "Yeah, Boo I know and I will." He then slowly begins to get to his feet.
Feb 27, 2021 6:09 pm
Quincy helps him to his feet if he’ll take it, then puts his fist inside his palm and gives a bow of respect to Mukitz. "Impressive yourself, thank you for the fight." he walks over and collects his clothes and his spear. He begins to walk away from the circle before remembering the coins, it’s not that he needs the money, but more that he doesn’t want to disrespect all those who threw them (and thus avoid another fight). He collects the coins, then turns towards the rest of the group, "Alright, I believe that is taken care of, shall we?"
OOC:
How much money was thrown?

"Mukitz is right about one thing, those were mighty impressive skills you demonstrated," Corwyn says in a low voice to Quincy, regarding his companion with increased respect. (Not that he had a low regard for Quincy before, far from it, having seen how he held his own in the journey. He has not met many monks and therefore has limited knowledge of their capabilities.) Handing back Quincy his spear and backpack, he says, "Shall we see if we can persuade Hathaqua, or 'Hath' as I think he prefers to be called to join us?" Then he suggests, under his breath to Quincy and Magnus, "Perhaps in a different tavern as well?"

Mukitz takes Quincy's offered hand but Quincy can tell he does not use much of it as Mukitz easily weighs more than twice that of Quincy. "Thanks kid, I have to admit it was an interesting bought." He then says softly, "And I think you have gained a good measure of respect in here." He then accompanies Quincy over where he then gets dressed as well, and places Boo upon his left shoulder. After Corwyn comments about Hath, Mukitz responds from his position behind Quincy, "Why Mamz Inn solid place, much better than Rock Inn, Book Inn. Smell much better dan Nag Inn, and Tipsy Tankard for uppity merchants. So what take place, that need Hath?"
OOC:
Quincy gathered a total of 46cp and 6sp
