The Jaguar Knight, the Plumaweaver and the Paladin all race together to the battle sounds with Tēcuani in the lead and are surprised to find their companions in the viper pit. Tēcuani is glad he got out of the pit without using the ladder that turned out to be not a ladder after all! He and his shadow dart forward and both slash at the creature with their mācahuitls!

"Welcome to the party, glad you could make it! Wouldn't want you to miss out on all the fun!" I say with a big grin on my face.

"I didn't think anyone had followed me through the braziers!"

I, too, step over to the ledge. "So now that everyone is out of the viper pit, do we need to even worry about fighting the snakes or the mimic? Tecuani, I assume you've explored around. Any idea were we should go to find the mummy king and his son, and their hearts?"

"I've not gotten far. A few turns from here I ran into Xoch' and Duke" Tēcuani replies, indicating the bear as Xoch. He decides not to mention some of the more embarrassing details of the encounter.

"How did the two of you get past the door, Duke?"

"It is so good to see everyone again! I am glad you didn't need me to take down this crazy looking monster. He looks dead." Duke steps over the dead mimic and hugs his wife and concentrates on his ring to telepath his feelings directly with her about missing her, without any chastisement that he had felt before when she jumped into the flames. He has grown used to her boldness. To the group he replies, "After all the wizard light went out, I lit a torch. Either the lack of blue light or the addition of orange light caused the magic of the door to fail, and we just walked through. There was a blue crystal on the other side of the door jamb, but we didn't want to play with that. We were exploring the rooms beyond when we ... err... met Tēcuani again and came directly here to help."

AS WE ARE ALL BACK TOGETHER, PLEASE LET'S RETURN TO GAME TABLE
