That may work but what decides a "session" that has always been a tough one for me running games. When do you reset? Is it one adventure which is usually take 2-4 sessions depending on the adventure when playing in person.

I kind of like the way it is though I think the whole starting skills at negative numbers I think throws people at first. The main problem I am seeing is that you start with so few skills (like it was in the original Star Frontiers) but there are more skills in this game it seems to look like your character is not very proficient.

Yeah, we'll probably have to have that talk anyways, because you're already supposed to earn DP each session... Though, considering that right now, you do not have the time to train nor the © to spend to improve your skills, the point is moot... No wait, Destiny are also per session, so yeah, we need to have this discussion.

Okay, I we could say at every set numbers of scenes (combat or social encounters, rooms explored and searched, travel which is not handwaved, etc.) would be a "session"? What number to pick? I'm thinking about 4-6?

I might have missed something but are we waiting on something before moving forward in the story?

As for what is a session I agree that 4-6 scenes sounds good. You may want leave it open a little as large battle might cause you to lower the amount of scenes but a few quick scenes may increase the amount for a session.

Do keep in mind that I have a roughly 75 mins commute from home to work, and then roughly the same amount of time again later after work back to home.

There are times I simply cannot check Discord.

What the procedure for doing the subsequent rolls? Individual posts, or just eight rolls on one post and just take them in the order they show up?

Yeah, just make a bunch of rolls on your next post, and we'll grab them in order they show up, until you get 3 successes or 3 failures.

Given the results, this will be a success, but I'll wait to see if anyone wants to have their character do something during the several minutes it will take Sorrack to deduce the purpose and function of this alien device...

3. Right. And to this I'd add, since you need to spend © to improve your character, this implies hiring some sort of coach, trainer, or purchasing or renting some sort of DIY digital books or instruction videos, which means you'll need to get off this planet first...
