OK avatar not a big deal, I thought he was human according to what you provided me.

Am I Gold, Brass or Red Dragon born? Red would give me an Evil alignment wouldn't it?

Rpgventurer the link takes me to 5etools , but nothing works beyond that, every link @ 5e tools gives me a 404 message, is the site down? Or is it my browser that is the problem?

Lex is a human who became a not-exactly-Dragonborn, so technically both are correct. Also, red scales! :D
Also, the link works for me at least; it might be that it's blocked by your provider? I sometimes get these errors in such cases.

OK I read up on sorcerer some, still not 100% but I think I am ready to go, I will wait until you finish this encounter before I jump in.

I saw that you get Skills: Choose two from Arcana, Deception, Insight, Intimidation, Persuasion, and Religion

How does Lex have 4 checked off?

Okay Rizz -- Lex is Human (Variant) based but the previous player described his Alchemical (technically Sorcerer) transformation to making him look almost Dragonborn -- so while he kind-of but not completely looks Dragonborn he is still Human at the core -- further because the transformation is Alchemically (Sorcerer) based the alignment part does not apply. So to make it easier maybe.

He looks Dragonborn but is actually a Human (Variant) Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline {Red})

Note also he is self-conscious about his appearance as he knows he does not truly look Dragonborn and those with a discerning eye or those that are Dragonborn will notice the inconsistencies. He is also currently very protective of the formula that transformed him into what he is today.

Also all starting characters begin with at least 4 Skill Proficiencies -- 2 from Class and 2 from Background. Some however start with even more the most you can start with, that I am aware of, would be 7 Skill Proficiencies (1 from Race, 4 from Class, 2 from Background) and this does not count Tool and Language proficiencies

Oh and Rizz do not be concerned we are here to help you get acclimated and you will get the hang of it fairly quickly.

Do you still get feats every other level? 1/3/5/7/9/11...? Is merchandising an ability or a feat.

Edit: I will be ready to go by the time you finish up this encounter, I have read all of episode 1a and from 21 on of episode 2. Obviously have had some party member changes, but it think I have the dynamic of the group down so far, I will do my best to keep Lex consistent.

No if you look under the Class description any place where you can get an Ability Increase you may opt to take one of the DnD5e Feats instead -- there are not as many Feats as in Pathfinder (if I recall correctly) but there are some nice ones.

Plus keep in mind that the bonuses To Hit, Damage, and AC from Magic have been moved to Masterwork and anything that is Magical will have some kind of magical spell associated with it.

And thank you for the effort on your part -- I know, having done it numerous times myself, keeping a previous character consistent is a bit of a challenge but again sometimes it can be a lot fun as you get to play something you might not have thought to create yourself.

Also not only has this game had change overs in players -- I am also not the original GM of this specific game. I think we still have a couple of the original players from the original game but not 100% sure on that one.

FlyingSucculent and I are the two remaining players from the original game.
