I'm looking to play Jaqueline "Jack" DeWitt, rakish gambler, and niece of our good doctor. Jack was left as a ward of her Uncle when her parents went abroad. Her uncle never paid her much heed expecting his staff to make sure she got her schooling and was properly managed. The staff tried at first but found Jack to be quite a handful and mostly left her to herself as long as she wasn't making messes inside the estate/lab. So Jack took to the streets and got her preferred education there. She is a bit of a tomboy, wears her hair short, and dresses in slacks and shirts more often than skirts and blouses. When she does interact with her uncle, he finds her to be bright and quick if not overly scientific, so he welcomes her company. (Like Marty McFly in Back to the Future)

Tupper Chesterfield is tall and thin, a touch of vinegar and absinthe in a dour black suit. As the Brown family lawyer, he was instrumental in setting up the insurance policy covering the investment and rushes to the launch with important news about the insurance coverage, only to be whisked aboard as final preparations for launch occur. He is nervous and uncomfortable about the endeavor.

Good grief this is fantastic.

It's a murder mystery without the murder

Evelyn Merrick is an enthusiastic journalist that wants to make her career big. She's not the greenhorn at the newspaper publishing firm, but she's still somewhat new and only writes reports about the local celebrations and whatnot. And guess what - things are about to change as Florence Clifford ate something bad and thus cannot make her trip on the flying contraption. Luckily, Evelyn is ready to stand-in. She may have been the fourth choice however, that's still in the top five! The boss told her not to be as nosy as usual, to not get on anyone's bad side at the event, but how can she follow that order? That's what journalists are supposed to be.

Let's talk tone. I'd really like this to be perilous at times, but overall whimsical. Thoughts?
