Tupper draws a blade from his pocket and cuts the nearest mooring rope, almost without thinking. His body nearly rebels, the fear of heights almost crippling him when the realization hits. "Surely we won't go high?"

OOC:
I'm sorry for going dark there. May's been a trip!
Your host laughs. Fear not, Mr. Chesterfield! My aim is to be more Daedalus than Icarus on our inaugural flight! I was thinking perhaps today we could visit the white cliffs of Dover. Can you imagine seeing them from this angle!

He sets a series of strings in place and sits in the cabin, holding a steering stick in his hand.

Well, Zimmerman will not be pleased. If there are any questions about the trip today, now is as good a time as any to ask.

It is, admittedly, an amazing sight. You know London, but you've never seen it from above before. It looks like a diorama, meticulously painted, with the most lifelike models puttering about the streets

The lawyer examines the unlikely crew: The rebellious niece, the overly brash reporter, the army doctor, and himself, a man with no business being on a ladder much less an experimental death-by-falling mechanical monstrosity.

He stands by Evelyn asked looks over the edge instantly regretting it. Vertigo sways his tall firm and he clutches her arm with one hand. "My pardon, I nearly swooned." He lets get go and wants to look away from the sight, but the analytical part of his mind admits that the view is wondrous indeed.

"My apologies, Doctor Brown. Did you say Dover?"

Of course! The winds are perfect. We should be there in a few hours.

He looks at his "guests" and chuckles apologetically.

I am sorry, I didn't want Zimmerman knowing this would be a manned flight until the last minute. For your troubles, I've organized a three night stay at the shoreline. I had Mrs. Havisham pack for you and Jaqueline. Doctor Hamish, you're somewhat more muscular than I am, I must say, but there are clothes of mine set aside at the inn for you to use. And Miss Merrick, as I'm sure you've discovered, my dear niece can't stand wearing skirts. There's a suitcase for you as well, and your employer knows this assignment may take a few days.

He notices Chesterfield is paler than usual and nods. There will also be a carriage to take you back to London as soon as you ask.
