Matsuki Magumi Introduction

It didn't take too long for her to spot a suspect. Several levels up, and resting her arms on a railing, Matsuki spots a familiar figure. It is Ms Kulenski, the cold-faced lady that was with the man that calls himself Mr M. She is wearing the same black shades she wore before along with the suit.

As if she noticed she is spotted, the lady moves back away from view. It is not as frightening as a sniper, but still odd...

Moments pass, but there is no further signs.

Asking around, Matsuki finds that there has been a few cases of convicts being spoken to where freedom is promised after accepting and completing a secret task.

Such things happen every few years. However, it isn't openly talked about, as when a guard hears about it, the one talking will have "bad luck" given to them until they learn their lesson.

There has been a case where the prisoner refused to accept the offer, seeing it as a suicide mission. Afterwards, he has been put into solitary confinement until he is a changed person and won't speak of the details. Rumour has it that it was experimenting with weapons.

There is some similarity to the inmates that were promised early freedom. They were involved in incidents that either sabotaged or took advantage of the latest technological developments the UA is performing. Beyond that, nobody knows the nature of the missions, especially whether or not they were really freed.

This prison is known to be one of the most secured prisons of Darst, perhaps the best. Top criminals are sent here, and a couple are able to be released after serving their time. A large number either remained and die after old age, given mercy through execution, or are shipped to somewhere else.

Somehow, Matsuki was fortunate enough to not experience any "bad luck". Interestingly enough, it felt rather quick, and that she has not been able to find Ms Kulenski again after the first time she spotted her.

Matsuki was again made to follow another guard, this time named Anthony, who is younger than the previous Jerry. The two of them travelled up the elevator, and went into a plain office room. On a desk, Matsuki can identify her items, including her sniper rifle, along with a large bag. Mr M is there aswell, with a single bodyguard but no Ms Kulenski.

"Congratulations, it is finally the day where your freedom is close at hand. We are generous enough to return to you your personal belongs that were with you during your, um, capture. We think it would be good if you are given the things you are familiar with. Don't worry, we didn't bug your equipment, but we did have to examine them closely. Anything sensitive have been wiped clean and safe to use."

He gives a quick shake of his head. "Nope. The briefing shall be done once you have gathered with the rest of the team. So as to save the effort of repeating. But for now, I'll give you assurance that your uncovered belongings shall be returned to you to use as you see fit. I don't think I need to lay out the consequences if you abuse our trust, considering that you are not officially released."

With that, the bodyguard comes forth to file in the items into the bag. Once that is done, Anthony the guard brings Matsuki, who is still cuffed, down a series of corridors that leads to the back of a van which is used to transport convicts.
