Zakk Wylde Introduction

Somewhere off the city proper, a gathering of people are standing before a make shift stage. The rowdy performance have just completed, where a shower of sparks mark the dramatic finish. After giving shouts of thanks and other gestures, the lights dim as the time to leave the stage arrives. The cheers and shouts of the crowd slowly die away, as a hairy and sweaty rockstar strolls off to the back stage along with his bodyguards. Just as he enters his tour truck and puts away his guitar, there is a knock at the door. It is one of his bodyguards.
"Sorry Mr Wylde, but there is someone who wants to see you. He says he isn't a fan, but wants to discuss a business offer in private. What shall tell him?"

Zakk's bodyguard leaves before returning with a man in a cotton vest over a polo shirt and jeans.

The man adjusts his glasses before clasping his hands together. "That was an... interesting show! Forgive me, I don't often see outdoor performances. Or perhaps, even go out as often as I used to... but I digress. My name is Mr Murphy, and I'm a delegate of the D.O.P.E.A., you know, the Department of Off-Planet Exploration and Advancemen? Now, you must be wondering why we of all people are looking to have you working for us. The truth is rather complicated, but I assure you that you will be well compensated for your service. In fact, you will get a free ride out into space. Not many will get that privilege. So, what do you think?"
At the end of his question, he gives a wink.

The man chuckles a bit.
"Sure, sure. If it's all good, you can share your findings via your music. However... well nevermind, let's not be too negative now. I'm sure it will profit us both. You get to have a front row seat of our operations, and we get to have you promote our exploration of space. In time, more and more of the common citizens may get to work out there.

Alright, here is my card. My contact and office is here. I expect that you are ready in a month's time. But before I go, do you have any further questions?"

He hands out a card. The address shows that it is at the building of DOPEA.

The Mr Murphy looks confused. "Did you say nudity? What about it? There won't be anyone naked, or requesting that you be naked. Unless there is some ritual I'm unaware of in the colony. If you are asking if you can be naked, I suggest not. Not only would it be distracting to the staff, but that space itself can be dangerous unprotected."

When the talk looks like it's over, the man gives his thanks and makes his leave. Zakk finds himself alone at peace again with his drink.

Zakk's manager is captivated as his rockstar paints a picture of a futuristic metal genre with space as the theme. Considering that developments in space travel is accelerating impressively fast, it didn't take much to convince him to allow Zakk to leave the home planet.

In regards with equipment, there is a portable transmitting device that could send data back to Darst at great distance. The problem is that it will take a while to receive the data, and there is the high chance of interference and loss of some data. However, there could be a better transmitter at the colony base, but it won't be portable.

Other equipment could be allowable, such as other music instruments, cameras, portable music mixer machine. The manager is willing to supply to Zakk, as long as he can carry them, and that none of them end up damaged. If they are damaged, either Zakk pays back or their relationship sours.

The manager decided to just give Zakk a video camera. Saves money as there is no need to purchase further high tech equipment. With a bit of demonstration, as Zakk is not that experienced with devices, he shows that the camera can film videos and audio, and is usable in one hand.

After that, Zakk is pretty much ready to leave to the address of Mr Murphy office. Also, somehow, he brings his huge gatling gun with him, just in case.
