With the feeling that he's being watched growing stronger and stronger with each passing moment, Weiryn takes a moment to grip his holy symbol and utter a few words of prayer to Pharasma before speaking to the others.

Stick close together, my friends. This mist is thick, and I feel as though we are being watched.

Casting Deathwatch here. For 30 minutes I can see the well being of any creature in the 30 foot cone of where I'm looking.

With Weiryn's warning, Roland focuses more intently, looking for possible enemies, or places for a likely ambush.
OOC:
Rolling perception for the look around, and not sure what to roll to look for ambush locations, so gonna roll it as survival, if you need something else just call it, and i will roll it.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+13)

(12) + 13 = 25

survival - (1d20+8)

(20) + 8 = 28

Darren peers around, looking for any sign of danger. He lays a hand on the handle of his warhammer, drawing comfort from the cold steel.

Weiryn will pick up the life forces of various small animals. Nobody seems to pick anything out of the ordinary, however, Roland will spot tracks that seems to be weeks old of several large wolves all leading to an area of thick underbrush to one side of the road...
May 25, 2016 6:54 pm
"Everyone one halt, there is something here that is worth investigating."

Roland dismounts from his cart and goes over to point out the beginning of the tracks.

"Didn't some of you say something about werewolves? These are larger than any wolf track i have ever seen."
May 25, 2016 8:50 pm
Kayleigh looks around, not liking in the least the feeling of being watched and the fog getting denser. She draws her sword and stays especially alert.

"Werewolves uh ? Nasty things."

She dismounts and follows Roland, ready to attack should those werewolves be around.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+7)

(2) + 7 = 9

"I seek a man named Maugren, who was last seen heading for Barovia to hunt werewolves." Ujjaya moves to crouch beside Roland, studying the tracks.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+17)

(5) + 17 = 22

May 25, 2016 9:14 pm
Ujjaya will notice the tracks. They seem to be a few weeks old, maybe older, and converge towards an area of heavy undergrowth by the side of the road.
May 25, 2016 9:30 pm
"Shall we investigate?" Ujjaya begins, but pauses, glancing at Roland's wagon-mounted contraption. "We may need to go on foot."
May 25, 2016 10:26 pm
Roland pulls a revolver from his holster.
"I have other means"

I carefully crouch to use stealth as my ally.
May 25, 2016 11:08 pm
All right, roll me a Stealth check.
May 25, 2016 11:11 pm
Ujjaya nods and leads the way towards the underbrush. Surely, whatever made these tracks is long gone, else the horses would be all afright. Still, the monk nocks an arrow to his bow.

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+11)

(14) + 11 = 25

Stealth check

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+14)

(11) + 14 = 25

May 26, 2016 8:55 pm
Not sure if this means nobody else is following, but I'll go ahead and roll Kuroi's Stealth since Parvus Domus' connetion seems to be still down...

Rolls

Kuroi's Stealth check. - (1d20+15)

(7) + 15 = 22

May 26, 2016 8:59 pm
Darren debates following or not, that kind of thing is not his style at all and he can't move very silently in his heavy armor. He decides in the end to just wait and listen, rather than ruin any chance they have for surprise.
May 26, 2016 9:21 pm
Weiryn didn't prepare himself for stealth today, but he follows the others, stay about 10 ft behind whoever is in front of him.

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+2)

(7) + 2 = 9

As soon as Weiryn follows Roland, Ujjaya, and Kuroi, his deathwatch spell will pick up a dead body, some 20 feet in front of the his companions, hidden in the undergrowth by the side of the road, just has the smell of weeks-old carrion hits the nostrils of Roland, Ujjaya, and Kuroi...
May 26, 2016 9:50 pm
There is a body ahead, my friends. Tread lightly...
May 26, 2016 10:29 pm
Still on alert I approach the body to see if there is an evident cause of death.

Roland will notice the body of a dead man, his clothes torn and his body partially eaten. Since Roland found the tracks, I consider he his still tracking them. The tracks will show that several large wolves have been feasting on the body before going further into the forest.
The body wears a sheep skin vest typical in many colder mountainous regions. In his hand is clenched a a water-stained letter sealed with red wax holding the letter close. Pressed in the wax's seal is a simple "B".
