Act 1: Scene 2: The Red Barn
Be sure to read and follow the guidelines for our forums.
"Hello there, friend. You look swell! Hahahahahahaehehehehhe....*cough*cough*" he cackles.
CURRENT GM AP: 4 (generated 2 this round)
Initiative:
-Ghoul (16)
-Lincoln (13)
-Kenzie (12)
-Kyle (11)
-Dareal (8)
Zones and Placement:
The entire backyard is Zone 1, while the kitchen is Zone 2.
So Dareal and Link are in Zone 1 with the ghoul. Kenzie and Kyle are in Zone 2. To avoid the increase in difficulty, Kyle and Kenzie will have to move into Zone 1, which takes a minor action to move to anywhere within 1 zone.
The backyard is pretty open, as it's just melon plants and the barn.
Action Breakdown:
The ghoul initiated combat, so he goes immediately, then he is also the first in initiative, so he got two rounds back to back.
The ghoul's defense is 1.
Damage Breakdown:
Hit 1: rolled 5 damage and 1 effect, hit left leg.
Vicious effect gives +1 damage, for a new total of 6 to left leg.
Spread effect gives half of total damage to a different hit location: 3 more damage to torso.
Link's physical DR on his left leg and torso is 2, so total damage from hit 1 is 4, the total damage from hit 1 spread is 1.
Hit 2: rolled 2 damage and 1 effect, hit left arm.
Vicious effect gives +1 damage, for new total of 3.
Spread effect gives half of total damage to a different hit location: 1 more damage to torso.
Link's physical DR on his left arm and torso is 2, so total damage from hit 2 is 1, the total damage from hit 2 spread is 0.
That was a lot of math, but final damage to Link is 6. (Does not incur an inury)
The ghoul's double-barrel shotgun has the following damage effects: Spread, Vicious
and the following qualities: Inaccurate, Two-Handed
Let me know if you have any questions, I know that was a lot lol!
Dont forget about AP and Luck points!

The mutant bellows in rage; the turret's discarded, a mere afterthought, and only cleaving the offender in twain will satisfy him, and maybe not even then. Before the ghoul is able to reload, Dareal makes multiple frenzied slashes. He won't stop until the offender is reduced to mincemeat.
Major Action: Attack (machete)
2 AP Major: Attack (machete)
Damage: 8

@Furmyr, sounds like Kyle used the Draw Item minor action, and then the Sprint major action, so no need to use an action point :)
He suddenly perks up as if he heard something from inside the house, which none of you do. "Oh! *cough*. Coming darling!" he begins to run towards the house, well, more like drunkenly skip towards the house, but turns back towards Dareal before he reaches the doorway and fires off two shots haphazardly.
CURRENT GM AP: 3 (spent 2 for major action, but gained 1 more)
Initiative:
-Ghoul (16)
-Lincoln (13)
-Kenzie (12)
-Kyle (11)
-Dareal (8)
Ghoul Stuff:
Damage Taken: 12
(2 from Link attack)
(4 from Kenzie attack) (ignoring the last damage die rolled, since AP couldnt've been spent for it)
(2 from 1st Dareal attack)
(4 from 2nd Dareal attack)
Damage Resistance: 1 Physical DR on Arms, Legs, Torso
Zones and Placement:
The entire backyard is Zone 1, while the kitchen is Zone 2.
So Dareal, Link, and Kyle are all in Zone 1 with the ghoul. Kenzie is in Zone 2. While in the kitchen, Kenzie has +1 difficulty attacking the ghoul.
The ghoul is now standing halfway in between the house and the shed.
The backyard is pretty open, it's just melon plants and the barn.
Ghoul Action Breakdown:
Minor Action: Moves to halfway between the house and the shed.
Regular Major Action: Attacks Dareal
Extra Action (Cost 2 AP): Attacks Dareal again
The ghoul's defense is 1.
Damage Breakdown:
Attack #1: 4
Rolled 3 damage and 1 effect, hit torso.
Vicious effect ignored 1 DR.
Spread effect does 1 damage to right leg.
Attack #2: 7 (no injuries inflicted since it's really the original hit and then 2 spread hits)
Rolled 4 damage and 2 effects, hit left leg.
Vicious effect ignores 2 DR.
Spread effect does two more hits, 2 damage and then another 2 damage both times to torso. Vicious effect does not apply to spread hits, so is really 3 damage to torso counting Dareal's torso DR of 1.
Total Damage to Dareal (after taking DR to account): 11
The ghoul's double-barrel shotgun has the following damage effects: Spread, Vicious
and the following qualities: Inaccurate, Two-Handed
Let me know if you have any questions or if I made a mistake, I know that was a lot lol!
Dont forget about AP, Luck points, and Fire Rate!

Seeing the mess within, Kenzie noses around to see what she can find.

I, unfortunately, don't have Dareal's sheet anymore, so I'm not sure what he's at or anything.
Link: 1
Kenzie: 3
Kenzie picks up the shotgun, and it definitely feels heftier than the 10mm pistol in her holster. Searching his body, Kenzie finds a couple of shotgun shells and a small pouch of caps. (double barrel shotgun stats are in the equipment thread under small guns)
~Barn~
Looking inside the barn, unfortunately there isn't much to go on. Against one wall there is a table with __ perfectly ripe melons sitting atop it. The group figures they would sure be refreshing, or they could haul them back to town and get a couple caps off of them. There is a cooking station against the far wall, but it looks like it's been a couple days since it's been used, and there are bullet holes all over the pots and pans surrounding it. A simple toolbench sits against the wall opposite the table, with numerous simple metal tools that look to be on their very last legs, like they just may have been put to use nonstop for the entirety of the past 200 years.
Scattered across the ground are all the things Link saw earlier. Unfortunately, no clear answer seems to be found here. The man seemed clearly off his rocker; hearing things that weren't there, not remembering things, and coughing up every molecule of air in his lungs. And for someone who supposedly has lived in this exact house for over 200 years, it seems strange that all of a sudden he snapped like this for sure.
