Herja steps up to trounce the swaying drunk. If the ganger wasn't going to help them then he'd best get out of their way.

The thug puts up a good defense but can't withstand the Valkyrie's blow and Herja's sword bites into his shoulder blade, snapping bone and spraying blood upon the tenement wall. He slumps to the ground, dead.

Each has their weapon (Short sword or club) and a dagger. A small belt pouch on each reveals: Nothing, they must have spent their pittance on booze.

From the 2nd floor landing you can hear the muffled sounds of revelry coming from the 4th floor. You also hear the sounds of dog feet coming down the stairs toward you...As you finish your search of the bodies, the two dogs from before stare down at you from the third floor landing.

"Feel free to take what you need Roeban, I'm good equipment wise... Oh, looks like we attracted some attention. Hmm, Roeban, you're cool with those dogs, right?"

They look like the same mutts you encountered earlier. They look on guard and not attacking (yet).

"Hey pups," Roeban says to them approaching in a nonchalant and non-threatening manner. If they remain calm, Roeban will walk past them and continue up the stairwell.

They remain calm regarding Roeban, but look a bit wary regarding the others. If Roeban could establish more rapport they may accept the others, too. (MND+AU)

Roeban attempts to demonstrate that these newcomers are his friends. He begins by making loud, human, friendly, gibberih and huge gestures with his arms. Patting his new companion Esteber on the back, he moves on to Herja and shakes hands with her in wide exaggerating arcs before getting in her face and making a display of belly laughing at an unspoken joke.

His Sim impersonation appears successful, I think...

The dogs come over and sniff the hands of Esteber and the others. Then they lick the blood from the floor, basically ignoring you all.

You make your way up to the 4th floor. All the nearby apartment doors are closed and no light streams from under the doors. The balcony walkway is rather tight, Enough for two men to walk abreast. Down at the other end you see light coming from a room and hear laughter.

Alden feels the balcony/walkway is rickety, and the railing is low and flimsy. Fighting here would be risky!
