It takes Khadi a moment to register what Bernard as does as Herc avoids the puddle only to then become larger. 'I hope you aren't expecting the staff to clean that up.' She manages to get out as she watches the half-orc growth. 'I know I said words aren't everything but we can show our skills off outside and avoid making a mess for others can' t we? '
As the paladin speaks she shrugs. ' Well sounds like we share some abilities though our deities differ.' She knew of Sarenrae. While she herself didn't care much for the Keleshite sun god, she understood many now did revere her instead of the old.

Herc is one huge steaming mess and barely able to control his anger. When it is said action speak louder than words. Herc just got bitch slapped. Herc is only thinking that it will take a mop and bucket to clean up the old man's mess. As he regains some composure, If you ever cast on me again I will work hard to make sure it is the last time ever. Herc's face is very red with anger and doesn't ever think to pick of his quarterstaff that he left before moved to this table. His well trained hands will do just fine. He doesn't stand to test the floor yet.

Bernard realises he has pushed the now giant Half-Orc about as far as he can go for now, and resolves to not poke that particular bear for a while, though he still hopes to teach him at least some manners one day.
Bernard responds to Khadi "Look again Khadi, twas gone before you even spoke. I would never visit such extra work upon hard working folk, especially when magic might do the trick instead. Keeps the skills sharp."
Bernard then listens to Esmae with his full attention, happy that someone has finally seen the merit in discussion, interjecting at items of interest.
"Your superiors? In the Church of Sarenrae, or another organisation?
"Blood of the Pharoah's? Facinating. By my research, I understand some of the Pharoahs were quite gifted in the arcane arts, why wasn't Nethys himself one of the earliest Pharoahs, perhaps you are descended from a god! I am quite fluent in Ancient Osirian, so should we find any documents that might pertain to your ancestry, I would be honoured to assist in your quest."

Well the huge bear being suddenly ignore didn't aid Bernard one bit. It was like a second bitch slap for taking up his time.
Table tips to its side and his poor chair flies away with a brushing of now huge hands, Herc comes to his feet and Bernard is just too very close. Giant Herc then proceeds to hospitalize Bernard in his intense anger.
Herc hands are moving so fast that you can feel a force of wind being generated. They become a blur.Herc strikes twice and initiates a Hurricane Punch with a swift action causing a bull rush.

Okay the old man was a bit irritating and he had briefly made a mess but in his weird way had tried to make up with the enlarge spell. Even if not enough, violence was a step too far.

Her cheery playful tone has disappeared completely to sharp and serious as she tries to force herself in between the two despite her slight frame. ' Fists solve nothing here. We're you not speaking of reputation earlier? Well we have several eyes here whoare already wary of those coming in for the lottery and know you start a brawl?' Even as she speaks she turns to the Bernard as she holds up the scarab around her neck .' Khepri, while I verbally spar with this one I have no wish for him to be hurt. Please aid us. ' She touches her free hand to where the blows hit as it pulses with positive energy, before transferring to the wizard start g to knit his wounds. She casts the spell once more for good measure.

Can I ask you guys to actually read my posts? There was never any mess - Bernard dispelled the grease almost as soon as he cast it.Enlarge Person will increase the damage dice used by two steps - in this case from 1d6 to 1d10 I believe form the chart, and it also increases the Strength, so instead of 2d6+8 it will now be 2d10+10. Both strikes will hit Bernard - it is entirely possible you will kill him here, even with non lethal.

My mistake. If that makes you unconscious then then you CMD against the bull rush may be affected. Lucky for you that I rolled min so you may not fly very far from it. By looks a max of 10'. You heal 1 HP an HOUR, but your getting heals so that will be a lot faster.

Was posted non-lethal. Monks are not penalized in non-lethal attacks in unarmed combat.Edit: Opsie.. only a +8 and not +9. Herc is only 1 size large not 2. So you only get tossed 5'. Herc is now 12'10" and just over 2000 pounds heavy.

She very much sees a difference between verbally snarling and physically hitting. 13 healing should bring back around

Gethean enjoys the flare of the old man as he casts his spells back to back, on the now furious half orc. What he does not understand is the lack of self control and anger exhibited by the monk. This half orc has become a buffoon, not something usually associated with the extreme discipline usually inherent to someone who has dedicated there life to peace and control. Yes they are also deadly fighters, but usually as a last resort, and not so quickly as happened here over a simple test of skill.
The Khepri cleric has healed the old man, but the Monk is out of control. Hopefully the watch doesn't show up, if it were me on duty, a night in the tank would be in order for the half Orc. A night at the least, possibly a week.

Bernard is unconscious before the second blow lands, and then flies across the room and lands like a dead man, because he very nearly is. The violent image of a giant Herc unleashing his might upon the old man is seared into all witnesses eyes.
Khadi's first CLW does not even bring Bernard back to consciousness.
@GeneCortess - maybe consider wtf you're doing? I get that Herc seems to be the man of few words archetype, but thus far he seems to be a complete idiot with very little capacity for meaningful interaction. Consider modifying the RP to be a little more practical. Even if you felt a violent response was appropriate, you could easily have gone for a single strike with Stunning Fist.
Herc has effectively just committed attempted murder in a very public place. I am not going to post for a bit to allow other reactions to what has occurred.

So basically, Bernard has 8 HP. Herc does 21 damage (Strength also goes up 1, so it is +10 rather than +8). 8 non lethal, that then overlaps into 8 lethal to take him to 0, then 5 more to bring him into dying. He is 7 more damage from dying, which means that a higher roll would have killed him.Khadi's first CLW does not even bring Bernard back to consciousness.

I did put the STR increase in. Just forgot the weapon size increase so you hit for 19 bludgeoning damage non-lethal. And Your right to my surprise. I never notice that note about non-leathal to leathal conversion. So it is mighty good she healed you before the start of the next round or you would be dead a -11 HP.
In as far as RP is concerned. Casting spells on someone is the same as going up and slapping them or worse. Only difference is only the caster knows what has been done. And in this case Herc has no idea what you have done to him, but what ever it is he is more than willing to make a mess of you. And if that accidently kills you. Well that done in the heat of anger.

The elf that till now had taken over the yelling, and sounded better at it so Khadi left him to it as she focuses on Bernard, pulling out the bandages she keeps on herself for when one of the builders had an accident. It looked like her spells had done the trick but she wanted to be sure.

Regardless of the 10 feet Khadi would have deliberately made sure she was between the two. She is a healer and protector. I echo, full of full attack violence seemed definitely over the top and has definitely effected Khadi's views of HercJul 18, 2021 1:52 am

Did you even read the post about what he was casting? And RP? your barbarian rage and not your disciplined monk strike was way over the top, the first spell was cast on the floor, not on you. And the enlarge person spell was meant to show you the old mans usefullness to the party, not an attack.What monk order were you recently kicked out of?

Giant Herc yells over all I don't know what the bastard did to me, but that is a sure way to get yourself killed. and turns and stares down at the elf with a weapon drawn. You best put that away. Nobody takes draw weapons well.
Herc looks about as he can't imagine what to do now that he is so tall. There is tremendous frustration about him. He had always heard to be watchful of spell casters and now he can see why.

Rizzoxiii. Knowing what he casted is using information outside the game. It is very easy to make that mistake. Grease is really invisible as the spell doesn't say there is any change other than slippery. Only Herc realized it something was off. Everyone else unless your making Arcane checks even knows what has happened.
And I'm sorry but not everyone has been around spell casters and know what is going on. Herc is only level 1 with no EXP. And yes he is raised in a monastery, but that doesn't make him some peace loving person. That would be assuming all monks and monastery's are alike and that is very large jump. Herc is only sure that that old man casted on him and who it to say it isn't so magical curse or what have you.
