OOC Thread

Hi everyone! I missed the first round of invites, so I was excited to see a spot open. I'm looking forward to joining your delve into the tombs of Wati and beyond.

I took the opportunity to try and catch up on where you guys are at, including some riveting events in the prelude thread 0.o

If I'm seeing things clearly, the group could use a STR-based front-liner and I'm happy to fill that - If anyone has suggestions please let me know. I'll throw some concepts together soon and post them here for feedback.

But yeah a tank/strength frontline could be good.

Khadi is a blossoming light cleric of Khepri (Sun god of workers with a sense of humour) focused for healing and combatting undead plus buffs, but is squishier than the wizard. More charisma focused than most clerics as l she doesn't need to worry for spell dcs too much. Good at identifying undead and weirdly outsiders and mundane healing, and alright at talking to people.

I dig what I've seen of the characters so far!

So, I'm waffling between Warpriest and Paladin. Here are my thoughts:

- Warpriest - good front line, great magic versatility, we already have a cleric - is this too much?, high wisdom (good for perception checks)
- Paladin (Undead Scourge): immunity to disease (and fear if I don't take the archetype), maybe better front line, good saves, high charisma (do we need more 'face'?), some heals, alignment restriction (bleh)

Either choice, my deity of choice would be Horus, I believe. What do you all think?

Ooh Horus. Two old sun gods will be interesting.

Warpriest I feel is more self buff so likely not too much clashing. Though most Khadi's spells be buff or fooder for healing. Paladin nice and tanky.

Face wise I will be putting ranks in diplomacy, have decent cha and bonus in some circustances. (good aligned people and those I am trying to convince to be good) whether that is useful in a dungeon crawl game.

Either or, but yea someone to lift things )

Sounds like a group question. My intention would be to have them leave for reasons I'll have no issue coming up with, but other options are for me to run them as a GMPC mostly in the background or something else you think is appropriate.

Cool. Running her till a time she could leave likely works. Even if she leaves because she walks into a trap :p.

I will be on vacation from the 5th of November to the 17th of November, inclusive, and will have very limited access during this time (I'm going to Disneyworld). If I am in your game, please bot me. If you are in my game, please sit tight and we will resume on my return. I will try to get as much posting in as possible prior to this time, but we are still dealing with a death in the family.
