Bronze Age - Denmark - Early Bronze Age
It is a dark time, Danelaw has been conquered, crushed under the bootheel of Emperor Jom the Hated. Jom, a Swede, has spent the last seven years of his life crushing the rival families, taking uncontested dominion of the Danelaw.
From distant Vinland rumors of a man who fell to the earth sailing a great army to liberate Denmark. His Raven banner, a celebrity for his legends in raids upon lands in the distant south.
From Far-o'e hails the local hero Tyr, who with the assistance of his father has mounted a seven month rebellion against Jom's rule. The Tales of his otherworldly origin have surrounded this mysterious warrior. The man rumored to have slain more than one hundred of the Jomsviking single-handedly.
It was this fateful warrior who arrived to your village, far flung in the icy reaches. Slew a troll that had plagued the land for as long as anyone could remember who approached you directly asking if you would pledge your life to the restoration of the old way, reverence to the All-father and self-governance to the people of the Danelaw.
Fated men carry fated problems, whether you decided to follow him, or not, the agents of Jom had infiltrated the feast. Blood was already flowing in rivers. Your kinfolk were being butchered by the Jomsviking, as the trolls blood still coats your weapons you stand ready to defend. Prepare yourself!

Use the supplements provided her.
Standard 10 Point buy on abilities, and take five advancements of your choosing.
If you have an idea you want to play out, like a shaman send me a private message or message me on the discord server I can figure out pretty well how to make a rule for it.
Remember in character competency consideration, in WR&M your character is assumed competent, they don't really have any debilitating flaws. You are assumed to be extremely competent compared to the average person. You just helped Tyr kill a troll.
Scholar ability will definitely be useful as it will be how good you are at maintaining equipment. I originally thought about weapons with hit-points, but now I'm thinking condition markers are easier to manage and puts the need for a quartermaster character.
House Rule: Equipment Condition - Each piece of equipment will be evaluated for its total hit points and have a condition track. I don't want to bother tracking damage on armor or weapons, so we will resolve this with a scholar check. Failed Scholar checks mean equipment degrades.
Expectations: Some of you may die but that is a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Just make another hero with the same process and join in the melee. There will be a large number of enemies for the first portion of the game. Lots of combat, fast paced, but quick thinking and fate points can change a lot. The scene will conclude when everyone has run out of fate points, so use them often.
I'll have you all design a village with me, each person has a life, and others around them, this will influence your greater surrounding area. Don't get bogged down on specifics this land doesn't exist anymore and can be anything within reason.
Lets have fun and kill things together.
