Character creation

Falcolnloft how would you like your character to join the group? Are you from the capital city (Hoffnungsadel), or from somewhere else? (I've dropped the name for now because I don't like it.) If you're from somewhere else, let's talk about what that place might be. Everyone except Phineas is from the capital which was an aristocracy that has now become a sort of tyranny after being overthrown by someone who calls themselves "Lord Commander Emil". Phineas is from a theocratic state (think something kind of like the historical Vatican City), and approached the capital with a diplomatic mission. Via a series of mishaps, the group members are "prisoners" of a militia comprised of citizens displaced by Emi's usurpation of the former regime. This is where we're at.

If they've been caught for something quite common, I'm okay with being thrown in with them. Otherwise, I can wait until they negotiate their release with the militia (or have a more pointed conversation directly with the locks) and jump in then.

What about being a part of the militia? Perhaps you could step out of the group to join the other PCs?

As long as that doesn't complicate things for everyone, I'm okay with that, although she's not much of a fighter. Maybe her father is in the militia and she's just along for the ride and bored.

I shamelessly admit that it would the easiest way for me to work your PC into the group. If everyone else is ok with it, maybe we can go with that?
