⏳ Automatically adjust colours in dark mode

The system will try and keep the hue and saturation as best as possible, but the idea is that if it's visible against white then it should still be visible against the dark colour. It really has to work for blue and this adjusts the hue somewhat. This is because full blue #0000FF is still pretty dark (the human eye is tuned to green more than red more than blue).

Looks alright to me. Some colors (like darkred) look nothing like the original and the lighter colors are still more visible in Light than in dark but overall, I think keeping high contrast colors high contrast and low contrast colors low contrast makes sense.

What's colors, Precious?

The best visibility should be for the three (the shades of red blue green) offered in the drop down box. Varying off that path I'm less concerned about, but those three the site is actively promoting.

I agree that should be the absolute minimum, but my Candlekeep Game discovered they can use all sorts of colours and now it's chaos.

Red, Green and Blue are in a zig-zag on the bottom left. I think they're quite readable now (even if the red and blue are a little washed out).

I'm using the Y709 colour model.

If the principle is sound I'll play with some others and post the best for you.

They're not as pretty in dark mode as they are in light mode but I honestly don't care much about that as long as they are legible and can be distinguished from each other.

I'm all for making things more legible in dark mode -- I see quite a few cases of people getting fancy with colors, and it's pretty clear to me that they aren't using dark mode... (Legibility is what I'm after as well, not style.)

Oi! Gimme a break! I only found out polls existed yesterday!

But yeah. I've already checked a fix in for that.

Adam: I have just taken a look at some of the colours in some of my old posts. I have to say, this is an impressive piece of code. While the colors are a little brighter than I would have liked, it is pretty amazing how much they look like the ones I originally picked, I had to compare the displayed color to the posted color code to confirm that some of them actually had changed. Fuchsia is still fuchsia. Nice work.
