Make dropdown previews more useful

I'm talking about these previews:



Especially for the Characters Tab but also for Games, as soon as you hit a certain number of games/characters, they become pretty useless. Would it be possible to (1) expand them. If there were twenty games on the games dropdown, that might cover pretty much all my games and make it easy to access them. And to (2) choose manually which ones show up there. I know you can name your sheets something like



but even that becomes quickly useless and it requires you to rename your sheets once other characters become more relevant (all of these ones are from a long dead game)

Maybe a checkbox next to your character sheets on the "My Characters" screen to prioritize them for the dropdown.

I like doormat menus for this:



big menus to show more content (or give info when there's no content).

Or automatically prioritizing this stuff. e.g. PCs should go at the top.

Seriously, longer lists first (they are easy to implement, right?) then we can think about changing the orders or allowing checkboxes.

Both would be what I wish for. Longer lists seem easier and would already be a great step, though

Like this idea -- the drop-downs are pretty useless to me at the moment. Like the idea of being able to have your 'favorites' appear on them.

Frankly it's easier for me to get to a character from within a game than from the Character menu. It all small text on a phone, hard to grab, and slow to load with 300+ characters. And games? I'm not going to rename them for the right order, so that button would better serve me if it didn't offer a drop down at all (I'm not asking for it to change to that, I'm not a typical user).

You mean have it take you straight to the Games or Characters pages? It does that if you "open in new tab" on it. I was surprised to see --in this thread-- there was a Characters option up there till I remembered that I never click it, it just middle click it and go directly to the page.

Yeah, it's only one more click, so not an issue in any way. I really meant that the drop down list serves no purpose to me at all. Maybe the short list is great for new users, though. If you only have a couple entries in each, maybe that is wicked, and helps them learn? Don't know.

If they only have a few game they will only see a few games. So no loss there if we crease the number.
The order may become important, and we may have to look at that. Most recent activity seems like the logical default sort order.

Yea, I remember the dropdowns helping in my very early days here but then quickly becoming useless. The characters tab can be useful on dektop because of Ctrl+F but on my phone (Qralloq mode), I'd never browse it either and instead just access them through the games. A larger dropdown, especially if you can prioritize your most important ones, would help, I think
