Welcome! I too picked up this hobby pretty good during the pandemic, with most of my experience being Gamers Plane at this point.
I would just say to be open to different things and to not to be afraid to go out of your comfort zone. Personally I started out being far more interested in the mechanics than the narrative, but have slowly been shifting to the center of that battle :)
