While the two men seemed to be somewhat discreet beforehand, the they now listen attentively as Bors begins rattling off the names he's given to his sword as of late. "Ah very good," the smaller, thinner of the two men, a Baklunish with middle eastern features, replies with good humor in his voice when Bors finishes. "Well, I must say you've made a very generous introduction of your weapon. I know your sword quite well by now. But I haven't caught your name yet."
The man raises his hands as a gesture of peace and says, "My name is Turuko, and my brawny companion here is Kobort. We are but two travelers who recently met on the road here and have fallen in together after the big man rescued me from a group of gnolls who ambushed me on the way here from Verbobonc. The terms of his engagement to aid me against the carnivorous beasts, you see, was that I would secure for us some work when we reached Hommlet, as we've both found ourselves short on coin. I may have mentioned that I knew some people here, which wasn't exactly true, but Kobort has thus far optioned to not take me to task for any untruths I might have said under duress, for any man might be inclined to say whatever he can after being treed by a hungry back of gnolls like a common racoon.
"Unfortunately, I have had little luck the last week or so that we've been here, but who should arrive to bring tidings of adventure only shortly after we did? I believe it was you! Well, maybe not you exactly. But some brave fellows and a lady who eventually formed a party you each have joined in turn. I've kept my head down, and instructed Kobort here to do the same, for it took us some time to decide if you're of good standing or little more than highwaymen yourselves, but the days of waiting and watching have shown that your intentions be true. Perhaps you could use a couple of extra swords to aid your endeavors, in exchange for a bit of the coin you return with?"
