With the reveal of yet more mechanical spiders, Phoenix will curse in Celestial, and aim his hand at a spider on the ceiling . With his remaining flaming hand, he clenches it into a fist and sends the sphere hurtling towards the spider currently engaging Anguis.
OOC:
Phoenix will cast Eldritch blast and move the sphere with his bonus action. He won’t move from his current position.
Another Dex Save for the next spider.

Light crossbow attack - (1d20+2)

(14) + 2 = 16

Light crossbow damage - (1d8)

(8) = 8

Flaming sphere bumps into ground where spider is.
Spider, covered in soot runs toward Phoenix.
Eldrich blast however seems to be reflected by the thick metal skin (you did not beat AC) and spider move:
Bellow see that the spider "2" who were running his way turns toward Phoenix and charge that way: past you and past Elrond
OOC:
Angius could do opportunity attack to spider 1, bellow and Elrond - 2. However Elrond and Angius could only do it with an unarmed strike (kick it) should they want to do so, because "you use your Reaction to make one melee Attack" but you can not gram melee weapon if you are not holding one

spiders 3 and 4 moves diagonally by ceiling and down to the walls they are clearly moving towards phoenix and are very close to it by end of the turn. 5 and 6 however makes a a crazy turn - they run directly toward Phoenix by ceiling jumps off and try to hit Phoenix with their Pincers while falling.
They take 2d6 bl. damage on landing due to height. One of them is still but other is damaged but still moves.
OOC:
I will post the rest of monster turn after opportunity attacks. You actually see more spiders crawling out of the holes and start running ceilings

Rolls

dex save - (1d20)

(3) = 3

Spider 5 Pincer to hit - (1d20+2)

(7) + 2 = 9

Spider 6 Pincer to hit - (1d20+2)

(31) = 4

Spider 6 fall damage - (2d6)

(64) = 10

React to hit spider moving past.
OOC:
Seeing more emerge, can Bellow change his action to Rage and single attack?
More coming! Need more intensity!
OOC:
New rolls if allowed.
OOC:
Should have added rage dmg of +2, but missed anyway.

Rolls

Atk - (1D20+5)

(1) + 5 = 6

Weapon dmg plus rage plus divine fury - (1D6+3, 1d6+1)

1D6+3 : (4) + 3 = 7

1d6+1 : (2) + 1 = 3

OOC:
Forgot opportunity attack rolls

Rolls

Opp atk - (1D20+5)

(6) + 5 = 11

Dmg - (1D6+3)

(4) + 3 = 7

OOC:
Yes, Bellow does opportunity attack without rage and then during his turn, seeing the amount of enemies start crying and turns into a raging barbarian - that makes sense.
You don't hit anyone unfortunately though - neither as opportunity not on your turn.
So 1 and 2 reaches Phoenix, trying to hit it, Elrond's crossbow kills "2" immediately after that

If 15 hits Phoenix he takes 4 piercing damage and 3 more lightning as electrical charge goes off the pincer it bites you with. 7 total damage

Rolls

Spider 1 to hit - (1d20+2)

(13) + 2 = 15

Spider 2 to hit - (1d20+2)

(4) + 2 = 6

Spider 1 damage - (1d4)

(4) = 4

Oct 20, 2021 10:32 am
The 4 new spiders quickly run on the walls - seems there were just behind the previous 4. You do hear more sounds coming from ceiling and could guess that new spiders will come in soon.
Spiders 6,7,8,9 are 10ft high you can't reach them with melee weapons from the ground. 4 is 5ft and 1,3,5 on the ground
OOC:
It is your turn! If any player did not notice that, then your characters should have clearly be surprised that there mechanical things that can not be super intelligent are running at the Phoenix ignoring the rest of you

OOC:
OK, I need tow Anguis and Phoenix actions before spiders will do their next turn. I suggest to wait with Bellow and Elrond turn until spider do their
Oct 20, 2021 12:22 pm
Seeing the spiders actions, Anguis relaxes a bit and in a loud, yet calm voice says. (Not moving this turn)(Dodge action)

Can't you see that the conflict can be easily avoided?

He points out the spiders movement.

"It’s a bit late for diplomacy! And I ain’t the only one attacking so a little help would be appreciated!"
What on earth did I do to get all this aggression?
Phoenix prepares himself for the onslaught and slams the sphere into spider 6.
OOC:
Phoenix takes the dodge action, hopefully I’ll survive the onslaught.

Rolls

Flaming Sphere - (2d6)

(43) = 7

Oct 20, 2021 4:04 pm
Elrond listens to Anguis’ warning and chooses not to do an opportunity attack. He puts his hands up while still holding his crossbow in one hand.

Elrond thinks to say something, but instead only watches to see if Anguis is right. He stays immediately behind Bellow at the moment. He takes the dodge action
Oct 20, 2021 4:44 pm
Yes, I forgot that spider 3 should have taken the damage as it ended turn next to sphere
And it is on fire - I assume it takes the same 5 damage from previous roll

Rolls

Spider dex save - (1d20)

(5) = 5

Oct 20, 2021 4:53 pm
OOC:
Now this turn. I will describe in in the context of it happening parallel to each of your last turns
Spiders continue to move toward Phoenix, but you notice that the moment when Bellow cries "More coming!"spiders 6.7.8 and 9 stops for a moment ant turns to Bellow, going his way.
Also spider 3 stops when Angius says "Can't you see ..." and turns to Angius. Other spiders continue toward Phoenix. Only Elrond is still ignored.
Meanwhile flaming sphere bumps into spider 6, but it manages to partially escape fire taking half of the damage
OOC:
I have marked spiders taken damage so far with white number, hope this is correct spider attacks in next post

1d20+2 : (8) + 2 = 10

Spider 5 (P) - (1d20+2, 1d20+2)

1d20+2 : (10) + 2 = 12

1d20+2 : (2) + 2 = 4

Spider 4 (A) - (1d20+2, 1d20+2)

1d20+2 : (17) + 2 = 19

1d20+2 : (3) + 2 = 5

Spider 6 (B) - (1d20+2)

(6) + 2 = 8

Spider 9 (B) - (1d20+2)

(9) + 2 = 11

spider 7 (b) - (1d20+2)

(11) + 2 = 13

spider 8 (b) - (1d20+2)

(18) + 2 = 20

Spider 3 (A) - (1d20+2, 1d20+2)

1d20+2 : (6) + 2 = 8

1d20+2 : (1) + 2 = 3

Oct 20, 2021 5:05 pm
As far as I understand only spider 8 hits doing 3 lightning plus: 2 piercing damage, but you take only laf of those 2 due to rage, so it is total 4 damage to Bellow.
Good news - you don't see new spiders on ceilings, though you clearly hear something is shimmering there
OOC:
Your turn everyone, French - feel free to change Elrond action if based on spider action you want to change your mind.

Rolls

Piercing damage - (1d4)

(2) = 2

Oct 20, 2021 5:17 pm
OOC:
I'm resistant to the piercing while raging.
So you like noise -- how about crunch!
Dual axes.

Rolls

Atk1 - (1D20+5)

(7) + 5 = 12

Dmg1 - (1D6+5)

(4) + 5 = 9

Atk2 - (1D20+5)

(12) + 5 = 17

Dmg2 - (1D6+3)

(4) + 3 = 7

Fury dmg bonus to first hit, radiant - (1D6+1)

(3) + 1 = 4

Oct 20, 2021 7:01 pm
The only difference is Elrond silently puts his fingers up to his lips, as if to make the shhh gesture. And attempts to make eye contact with the others.
Oct 20, 2021 7:12 pm
First of the bellows axes jumps off the spider and the radiant damage unfortunately do not hit, but the second hits the spider.
Elrond you see that Bellow keeps crying as he swing his axes. He kills one of the spiders (I assume he aimed the already damaged 6 with the second hand)
OOC:
Anguis and Phoenix - what do they do meanwhile?
