Character creation is simple and familiar to those of you who have rocked your way through a 5e game.
Choose a class, a race, standard array for ability scores (15,14,13,12,10,8), alignment, record your HP and class features, roll your starting gold (5d4 x 10gp), purchase your equipment, choose a worthy name, pick a quirk.
But be warned. What Lies Below has customized all of that, so don't come to me with your tabaxi rogue. Oh, it just died. Use the What Lies Below book. It's pay what you want so tip the band but if you haven't got the goat horns to spare, $0 is an option. No excuses, dudes and dudettes.
