Hey gang, glad to be on board! I'll be throwing together a random character in the other thread soon, but I wanted to greet everyone first! I've played a couple 2E WFRP games on another site, but those both fell apart before I could really explore the characters. Looking foward to seeing this story through!

Hi - I've played 1st edition and now looking in my cupboard and finding a copy of 2nd edition I must have played that. But given we're talking decades ago I remember little. I haven't played a fantasy themed RPG for many years and I thought it was time to dust things down.

You can oppose a Ranged Attack with a Shield at any distance if it has Shield Rating 2. If it only has Shield Rating 1, it must be at Point Blank. With Dodging, I only see a rule that allows it at Point Blank, not further.

On page 288, it explains coin values and abbreviations. Silver shillings are marked with a slash, and brass pennies are either at the end of the slash or marked with a d.
1gc = 20/- = 240d
5/7 would then be five shillings and seven pennies.

For mostly rp equipment like a spade I will allow without micro management of the money as long as the fit the character. The monetary system in Warhammer is pretty wild, but not unlike how it used to be in England until the 70s.

I'll be playing as a High Elf Wizard character from Saphery, Ulthuan. And she's probably taller than everyone else. Like 6'5"!
