"Quit dawdling already. Bunny hop here and see what's up there!" Hasn't this been the plan? Rervenn sighs, picks out the column closest to her and thinks about climbing up. "How bout a lift, big guy?" The elf looks in TDKs direction, then back to see whether Melang is coming.
Jan 21, 2022 8:14 pm
Standing in front of the huge fresco Melang has one hand stroking his chin and the other one across his leather armored belly, while holding his elbow. "Oh no! To the contrary." he exclaims. "You've to witness this! It`s... marvelous!"

Enamored with this piece of ... art ... the others get the feeling, that this rabbit isn't going to go anywhere in the future. He can't withdraw his eyes from it and isn't swayed by anything to allow it out of his eyesight.

The rest of the group understands immediatly, that this is no normal behaviour for the wizard.
OOC:
Is there some bard, or paladin magic/power to help the poor harengon?

BTW: I told you so Grey Word. ;)

Since Dark Knight didn't see what happened to Melang he says "So be it. Anyone to join - don't be late".
As griffon he is mounted on start swinging his wings one could see it going up in the air, but he stays. An image og dark knight mounted on his griffon goes up in the air and he goes as up as well but a 20 feet delay. To copies of knight mounter on a griffon flies up until the illusion is above bridge. Then flies horizontally toward entrance while real TDK try to get on the bridge northern

Zankas enters the open door to cast countercharm on Melang. Melang is clearly still affected by the fresco in that cornor of the room.

The dark knight took to the air on his Griffon and crafted an illusion of him and his griffon flying southwards over the bridges. Something strikes out on the illution. Its small and in the darkness The Dark Knight senses the attack more through the magical connection to the illution, than through his other senses.

OOC:
We are now entering combat on the upper levels
"What hides in the dark" reacted to the illution, the rest of you can now act, in any order you wish. If you don't act within 24 hours your turn will be skipped.

He whisper some words and air around him smimmers, though it may not be obviously visible in the darkness, as he cast

Silent image disappears as he drop concentration on it.
Griffon carefully and patiently flies up and moves either toward any creature if could see or fly in straight line toward middle bridge and lands there (i.e.16-17 AX-AY)
Notes:
Griffon action is Dodge.
TDK and griffon have 60 feet dark vision. Griffon has perception +5 and Keen Sight.
Jan 23, 2022 4:41 pm
The Dark Knight senses 5 fiends on or near the middle bridge, one of them must be flying as it is above the bridge.

As he nears the middle bridge he sees a crude robe bridge, an open book, a sword, and fore of the larges stone on the bridge seems different. He can't see much more than that, from his flying griffon, while only seeing in crude grayscale his dark vision offers him.

Zankas, seeing that Melang is still infatuated with the painting for some godawful reason, decides to try blocking the bunny's vision instead. He runs up and opens up the stopper on a shiny brass bottle, sending a thick rolling cloud of smoke out of the small opening between Melang and the painting.
OOC:
Popping open the Eversmoking Bottle, hoping to break his vision to break some charming effect.
Jan 23, 2022 5:37 pm
Zankas runs up to Melang to deploy a smokescreen. To deploy it, he has to get close to Melang. Getting close to Melang means getting too close to the Enthralling Fresco.

OOC:
Within 1d4 rounds the smoke is so thick and you haven't seen the fresco long enough for you to roll a save again. Eventually you will make the save, and get out of this trap, but we have a combat going, that you currently cant participate in

Zankas runs up and slides the bottle over, but something about the painting was just so - perfect. The lines of the painting, and the depth of symbolism were positively enthralling. He couldn't tear his eyes away. It's - it's a pinnacle of its craft isn't it Melang?

Rervenn scramples up the side of the bridge pillar just to see how the sword flips up striking out on biggest tread, the griffon, as well as 5 imps that each becomes visible as they attack the griffon.

OOC:
The imps has transformed from spiders and rats to their natural form, turned invisible and attacks from invisibility. Their advantage offsets the griffons dodge action to a normal attack

"Absolutely." nods Melang in agreement. "Zankas, there." he points at the left corner. "Have you seen these bold strokes on this smashed goblin's skull? The colures, the shading, the expression, ... Marvellous!" the harengon corroborates his friend, while standing more and more in a cloud of rising mist. "How dramatic." he mumbles happily enthralled by this peace of "art".

I don't mind if you roll it for me next time, but i can do it now, just to double check I understand how it works (as I told, first time play hihg level paladin), so plese correct me if this is wrong:
With shield of faith also covers Griffon it's AC 14, I'm not rolling for imp #3 as it did not hit
And since Griffon is in my aura I add aura +5 to con save
Quote:
While mounted on it, you can make any spell you cast that targets only you also target the mount.

OOC:
Thx @GreyWord there is a lot of effect in play, I'll let you tally up the damage to desern how well your mount is doing.

My math says
Mount AC 12+2

Imp 1 6+4
Imp 2 5+4
Imp 3 miss
Imp 4 6+6
Imp 5 5+7

total = 43 out of 59. Can it still fly with over half HP missing? There are some rules about that, but I don't remember if it is 5e rules :D

Start of round 2
The Dark Knigh and Rervenn can act
Zankas and Melang admires the artwork in smoke, 3 round before making saves

OOC:
In 5e "The loss of hit points has no effect on a creature's capabilities until the creature drops to 0 hit points." But anyway, TDK will order Griffon to disengage. Fiends are His sworn enemies
TDK jumps off Griffon, stand straight touches his holy symbol again and says prayer aloud "The Vigilant One, shed your light on the foul creatures!" as he drop shield of faith and cast Moonbeam using 3rd level spellslot (3d10 damage).
OOC:
Please decide if I can target two or three imps with 5 foot radius, without affecting Griffon who technically goes after me.
[ +- ] 3: Moonbeam (C) (Cha)
TDK is calm and ready to cast shield as a reaction should it be required.

Griffon disengage and flies down and land next to Rervenn. Look at him does not suggest he would allow anyone to mount him.
OOC:
I assume TDK seen those imps shapshifting and thus know moonbeam is specially effective against them (have disadvantage on saving throw against moonbeam)

Without much room for the griffon to stand on it disengages from the battle and flyes away.
The moonbeam fries one of the imps and the two others down look in to good a shape.

Rervenn is just about to aid the dark knight when the sword reacts to her presence and lashes out at her. In the light from the moonbeam, several mystical pentagrams are visible on the larges bridge stones.
