Khadi backs up and as others rush forward clearly intending to take it out before it could do any harm she pulls out her crossbow and fires a shot, just in case she can be of some help.

Rolls

Crossbow Hail Khepri - (d20-3, d8)

d20-3 : (11) - 3 = 8

d8 : (6) = 6

After Tabat and Iseret deal their damage, Abenor will run towards the creature and try to jump/climb into its back as he holds his shortsword firmly.
OOC:
Let's have some fun! Can someone walk me through this on how to try such a move in PF1e? I can roll Acrobatics but it can be more than that.

OOC:
My instincts from cinematic games are 1) if your crazy action doesn't mechanically help you, then it's just part of your attack (no penalty), but 2) if you want your action to help you in your attack, then there should be a mechanical penalty.

OOC:
I very much want it to help me in attack. I'll try to ride the thing in God of War syle and then continously stab it from its head.

OOC:
I just want to say how much I love this.

OOC:
Haha, Alright then. Let's call it a CMB check, but using Acrobatics score, vs it's CMD of 22. If you succeed, you can take an immediate free called shot attack.

OOC:
Come on dice. Don't let me down!
Oh :(

Rolls

Acrobatics - (1d20+3)

(14) + 3 = 17

May 3, 2022 11:40 pm
Abenor jumps onto the giant centipede, but it's slippery and fast and he falls onto his ass.
OOC:
I should roll initiative first.
Everybody not a Khadi can act before the centipede. If you take it down, then you save Tabat a biting.

Rolls

Tabat: bite +8 (2d6+7 plus poison) - (1d20+8, 2d6+7)

1d20+8 : (18) + 8 = 26

2d6+7 : (52) + 7 = 14

Abenor: tail slap +3 (1d3 nonlethal plus trip) - (1d20+3, 1d3)

1d20+3 : (8) + 3 = 11

1d3 : (2) = 2

Initiative rolls Ab, Is, Ja, Kh, Ta, Foe - (5d20, 1d20+0)

5d20 : (1191434) = 41

1d20+0 : (4) = 4

May 4, 2022 4:27 am
"Abenor, you brave fool!" Tabat yells. He presses the attack so as to keep the centipede's attention. Tabat spins wide with his wicked-looking blade. "Here's at you, creature!" he shouts.

Rolls

Power Attack (w/ +2 Flanking) - (1d20+8)

(13) + 8 = 21

Damage - (1d8+6)

(4) + 6 = 10

May 4, 2022 5:33 pm
[b]"Die, you oversized bug!" Iseret shouts, stabbing again at the centipede.

Rolls

Sneak attack w/flank - (1d20+5+2, 1d4+1d6)

1d20+5+2 : (14) + 7 = 21

1d4+1d6 : (2) + (6) = 8

May 4, 2022 11:34 pm
The team uses their speed and quick thinking to slice the huge bug as it gets close enough to strike, dropping it before it can cause harm. It falls dead and twitching.

Combat is over.

You guys were so fast that I could't even draw a arrow
May 6, 2022 7:55 pm
Abenor lies on the ground for some time, stretching his whole body. Then gets up with an agile move. "Phew. That was fun. I’ll be sure to try these more if you guys continue fight like that." he says as he clears the dust out of his clothes.
May 6, 2022 9:14 pm
"That was over far more quickly than I would have guessed," Tabat says to Jaware, "Though I attribute that to the strength of our teamwork than the speed of your reflexes - I have seen you in action, after all."

He begins to step over to Abenor but the man vaults back up onto his feet with grace. Tabat laughs nervously, "I will do my best to protect you, but I would be a fool not to express my fondness of tactics over feats of daring-do and folly."

He peeks around to see what he can see in the courtyard.

The rest of the outer area is clear of threats or anything of value.

A rectangular stone building sits in the northwest corner of the estate. At each corner stand columns carved to resemble men and women with their arms crossed over their chests. A set of stone doors stands in teh sourther face fo the building, carved with bas-relief faces of two men. Hieroglyps are carved into the doors just beneath the faces.

The two faces are the same as were on the statues outside the outer gate.

The crypt's stone doors are heavy, but open easily. Inside, a wide stairway descends into darkness.

"It says, 'May defilers be cursed by the gods until their day of judgment.''' Iseret notes with a worried glance. "Are we defilers? Or are we granted special favor because we are working with the priests of Pharasma?"
May 7, 2022 12:29 pm
'We are still going to be seen as defilers by some..the priests of phrarasma are against this remember, its just the pharaoh left them no choice... We should continue to follow their rules and be respectful.' Khadi speaks as she looks down the stairs.

' So, up or down? '
May 7, 2022 12:38 pm
"Might as well head down and see what's down there," Tabat says, "We can return the house and explore the second level after."

If everyone is in agreement he leads, shield up down the stairs, allowing Iseret ahead to check for traps as needed.

I would like to point out some risks. If the decision to go down is adopted, there is a risk that the inhabitants of the second floor will chase us down and we will be trapped between enemies. If, instead, we go up even if the basement inhabitants go up it will always be possible to jump out the window to escape, if there are more enemies than we can handle.

'Jaware has a point. Also the tomb is likely where the goods are, so more to carry. So may be worthwhile clearing the top first?'
