Chapter 1 : Greenest in Flames

OOC:

Hunter ended turn next to Cultists, so yes he is right next to Jaelyn at the moment. I've moved my token now.
By the way, main reason I picked weapon is to prevent cultist using it. I have my own scimitar.

Question: Does the rest of us hear woman yelling?

Brommyr steps to one side and shoots at the front-most kobold chasing them, hoping to cause their chase to falter a bit. After taking his shot, he moves back up the road a bit.

KOBOLDS ON ME! he hollers at his compatriots, hoping that the shot at their leader will draw enough attention that they follow him.

@Hunter well..good point... because its a chaotic environment, you hear battle screams, guards trying to attack the cultists and the dragon flying in the distance, also the smoke from the fire burning buildings and the dim light making hard to see... however you can hear the voice of Brommyr yelling and the woman screaming for help. (depending of your passive perception, for example you have 15, so you heard them in the distance, Jaelyn did not and Xarathon with 13 hears some screams).

Brommyr shoot hit the Kobold and it is dead. The woman and the boy running towards Brommyr with pale faces and two Kobolds are runnning towards Brommyr and the other three are throwing their daggers to you, causing 6 HP damage

The Cultist is standing up and looking for his weapon, but he does not have it. So he looks at Hunter and Jaelyn with anger.

Xarathon continues to stride down the street, his attention shifted from the cultists in front of him to the screaming down the side street. Not wishing to risk missing and hitting Brommyr he fires another gout of flame at one of the oncoming kobolds hurling daggers at him.

(16) + 5 = 21

Fire Bolt damage - (1d10)

The Kobold, that Xarathon hit is burned and dead.

Jaelyn and Hunter you see another Cultist appears and he is going to hit you and fails.

Could you please explain "Cultist appears"? Did it look like he is teleported magically or he was invisible a moment before and now attacking us?

Ignoring the new threat hunter run toward Brommyr and trhow one magic stone at the kobold next to Brommyr.

OOC:

I assume I will get OA from cultist, but I'm fine with that, besides he is both surprised and afraid of a Cultist who could just appear from nowhere

Jaelyn draws the sword from her back and takes a swipe at the cultist with the weapon nearest to her.

I rolled a 10 on roll 20. I'm not sure if it's adding my bonus to bless or not.

and btw I hope you all understand what was your mistake, attacking the cultists, when the other was attacking the kobold, splitting the party in battle, I told you that you need to be extra careful with all the raiders. Many groups die on the first chapter.

IMHO, no real mistake was made, except perhaps Jaelyn waking up the sleeping cultist a bit prematurely. Not a big deal. No one is dead or unconscious yet, and Jaelyn and I haven't even taken damage. There are 4 of us against 2 cultists and 4 kobolds. We aren't really "split" since we are all within movement and spell distance from each other. I like our odds. Go team! Ask me again in a couple of rounds though. lol

I have fun fighting and seeing PCs behaving rationally for a group who has never fought together and don't trust each other just yet. I would see a mistake if we fight as a team, using teamwork as major battle tactics.
I see no player mistakes, just contrary. I'm happy with the story we are telling so far. If my PC death will be part of that story... that will be still be part of this great story. And by the way I think first chapter is good time for PC to die as player has not yet attached to it.

Brommyr kills another Kobold

But the last 3 Kobolds are attacking him and takes -9Hp damage

You can see the brave dwarf fighting the Kobolds, until his last breath to protect the woman and child.

Xarathon remembers a time when his power was limitless, but now it seems to have waned to just a trickle. He moves down the street next to the crazy wild man, and lets loose another blast of fire to attempt to thin the kobold horde. His aim is off so he calls upon aid from his patron.

My total is 13 with the FbtG.. So I might hit.
