Why not simply not have it override it?

Firstly - the template selector only appears if the character sheet is blank when it's first opened. This is the main defence.

If you select the wrong template then you might want to select another one.

We want to protect against someone choosing a template - editing the template - then accidentally catching the template selector.

Okay, that makes sense.

'Selecting another one' would be as easy as deleting everything there and then selecting a new one. Much less risky than deleting what is there.

This make it less likely to be used.

The character sheet warning is good enough, for now.

The game settings still replaces a whole lot of stuff, while keeping some if it. This is better than nothing, but some games might want to the dice codes from more than one system and this does not allow it (without copy pasting before replacing). I don't think there would be many situations where that would come up though.

Yup. I have game settings a separate task (not implemented yet)
