I was going to hang around the bar and when they got there ask if they were a couple and start talking about how I support progressive couples that so openly display their love for one another. All well intentioned of course.

I'd like to get a status from the players. PC & NPCs (Named) memorable? System Mechanics easy enough or clunky/weird?

Easy enough. A lot of standard human NPCs are somehow harder for me to imagine than weird fantasy or sci do characters, but you're doing good with them. I hate them the appropriate amount for their personality.
